Hi,

I just shifted from evod/ego type tanks and batteries to my new mod and I'm very happy and impressed with the vape production. However, the taste of my new tank is really strange and not pleasant. It tastes like burnt or something like that. First time I wanted to use, I washed the tank but it doesn't taste good. I have few questions that I couldn't find the answer for with search:

1- How to get to good flavor form the tank? Is there any trick or the tank should be used for few days/weeks in order to settle?
2- Since I'm quite new in using the mod batteries, I know the high watt (30-40 w) I tried was too much for me. Specially with high nicotine (18mg) liquids it was barely pleasant for me. I also felt high temperature (400-500 F) was too high for the setting I was using. I'm currently using MBV with 50/50 PG/VG and 2 extra shots flavors. I have a 100% VG 0 nicotine that I add to my liquid when I want to increase the VG and decrease the nicotine level.
What is the temperature and wattage combination for getting good flavor?

Thanks in Advance,
Dave

the eleaf gs air tank is a great tank not the gs that came with it ,the gs air is taller and skinnier sweet vapes has them for like $9.95. if you want sub ohm tanks the eleaf melo is great for like $15 also the kanger nano is really good. i hated my nano but i just rebuilt it everything new and its excellent now amazing flavor.

First off: the iStick TC40 has two separate modes: VW and TC. The two modes settings DO NOT INTERACT. If your in Wattage mode the up/down buttons control the wattage - nothing more. If your in TC mode the up/down buttons control the temperature set point. In TC mode the iStick TC40 will ALWAYS start out at full power (40W) as long as your coil is >=0.15ohms.

Personally, when I got a TC40 I paired it with a Kanger Subtank-Mini and used the RBA section that came with it to build 0.2-0.3 ohm Ni200 coils. I like a cooler vape so with the airflow fairly restricted on the STM I'll have the temperature setting between 380-460F - depending on the vapor production I'm wanting at the time.

    Hope this helps,

    g.

Then my iStick doesn't work in TC at all. I set the temp for different temps but it doesn't blow my 0.15 GS Air. I only can draw in wattage mode. Now I'm at the level of 18020 wattage with a mild vapor which is ok for me. Not super impressive though.
Same setup, iStick 40w TC and GS Air tank. Mine came with the 1.5 coils, but is the same tank as the GS Air TC (only dif is the coil it ships with). I used the 1.5 coils at 12-15w and it's great, any higher and the juice is burnt. I just bought a pack of the .15 TC coils to check it out. Basically there's NO HIT until you get to 400 degrees and it's weak at best. 460 to 500 is pretty darn good. Tried 600 and it's a good hot hit, still no burnt taste and great vapor production. Bust out that .15 coil and crank up the temp...you'll be pleased.
