The Ni200 subtank mini coils work quite well, good vapor and flavor. The regular 1.5 & 1.2Ω coils also work well with the STM used in VW mode.

TC just makes it easier to dial in the temperature, flavor and airflow you prefer for your setup. It gives you a more consistent vape as you play with the air adjustment band, no burnt flavors no matter how much you close it down.

TC will NOT make bad juice taste good or your coils last forever with sweet, gunky juice. It doesn't fix every problem, just makes it easier to find your sweet spot.

I just received my eleaf 40, so now I'm reading I have to buy a new tank. Is this right? I have the Kangertech Mini and really can't afford to get a new tank just yet.

I've bought these coils for the Subtank Nano. They fit Subtank Mini too. No need to buy another tank. I was going to because I wanted to have a spare tank.

As people said, you don't have to buy anything extra. These coils for the Temp Control mode. You can still use normal coils with the VW mode.
