It's supposed to fluctuate like that when fired.

Like others have said, it works as good as or better than you should expect for being a $45 (budget) 50 watt device.

The pre built coil that says .5 could actually be .61 which will read .7 on the STick, doesn't mean it's inaccurate.

That being said when/if you start making coils I'd highly recommend still checking them with a reliable multimeter and not purely relying on the I Stick, especially to help get your builds down to a perfect science.

I recently bought two iStick 20w, with identical Nautilus Mini tanks. I'd say it's probably the BVC coils that are slightly of advertised, as one of my tanks is currently reading 1.7 Ohms and the other 1.9 Ohms. When I inter-change the tanks on the iStick's the readings are constant independent of which iStick they are on.
