I almost wish these coils didn't last so long

If I want to expand my rebuilding stock, I have to tear a new one apart.
Hate the wicks in the new ones and want rayon!
Any other tank and folks would be going through these by the fist full and I could trade with them.
Feels almost sinful to break down a new coil...I know, first world problem!
If anyone accumulates a lot of used coils and they don't recoil and want to trade out, PM me!:)

Hey Cheech,
Remember, about five weeks ago, I said I'd send you coils once I had a small collection? Well, since then I've had two—count 'em—die. Be patient. The current three in use can't last forever. Even buffalos get tired eventually.

It is a standing offer for you my friend! Whether it's two or a hundred...
(Two coils, sheesh, I go through that in two days)

There was a bit of a misunderstanding in the one thread. I thought, "Those cheeky monkeys are planning a troll bait!"
Hence: stirring the pot!

Really stirring the pot!

Uh-oh....wonder if I know what thread you're talking about?? Lol

Cheech, I wish you'd figure out how to recoil the BDC coils. I use those in the GS16S without the air base. Those seem to give out faster than the air coils and I can't get them apart to see what's on the inside.

The Recoiling Queen asking me?!?!? Is this a test?

Do you mean recoiling the GS Air coils back into dual coils? Nope, even my bony fingers can't do that.
Or do you mean the coils that have to be pushed into the bottom, the GS Air16?

Yes...the coils that have to be pushed in...the GS Air 16's. The Air coils are great with just one coil...don't need 2!

Took awhile, had to hunt down a pic and make notes:
original-eleaf-bdc-coil-stainless-steel-material.jpg
It comes apart where the seam is indicated on the pic just like the GS Air coil.
The wire can be seen on the bottom, so the grommet comes out like the Air coil.
Looks like a liner between the cap and coil just like the Air.
I have not actually taken one apart, and I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
But, it looks to be the same rebuild as a Air coil...was that any help?

Some of the threads are a little pompous...they have their knives out in a hurry!

I found I liked my Air without the screw, well...actually, took it out and dropped it. It has taken up residency in the carpeting.
When I dropped the second one, I said the hell with it and went air "commando."

Without taking my magic hammer, the big one, to it I'm no help at all.
I would try to pry, just like the Air, at the top of the cap, but below the chimney.

I'm going to try using vice grips on one end and pliers on the other to see if that works. Those little bad boys are on to stay!
