Getting real tired of the effing ads....and before you say it, I'm not using ad blocker! I'm not paying for an app!

I'm back!! Fed(cold food...yuck!) and rested!! Bring on your best!! Lol

Lynn, Ad Block Plus is free, so nothing to pay for. I hate ads, too.

Well here it is with half a tank of Honey Tobacco already gone. Running at 10W on the iPOW2 the flavor is good with the stock silica coils and I was actually quite surprised with the vapor production. I'll see if I can yank a coil apart this weekend for a little Rayon transplant with a 30g micro coil.

When it comes to flavor I have been really spoiled by the Origen Dripper V2 (Single 24g @ 0.5Ω Rayon wick) and the Origen Genesis V2 (Dual 26g @ 0.5Ω Mesh wick), there is nothing I have tried so far that can touch these two for yum factor!

My remaining flavor tree:
The Rose V2
Flash e-Vapor VS
Flash e-Vapor V3
NextGen
Kayfun V4
Silverplay
Kayfun Lite & 3.1
GS Air-M (Stock coils)
Kayfun mini 2.1
Redoing the coil could bring the M up one place and possibly two.

The only problem I have with this is the sloppy airflow control ring and it makes noise when wide open. I wasn't going to apply the pliers to the ring like I have seen posted before so there has to be something else. I don't think the stop pins come out easily to get the AFC ring off and I know it is going to annoy me till it is tightened up. OCD... OCD... OCD... ;)

It had the chromed brass Kanger Genitank look when I took it out of the package and the AFC ring almost felt like plastic. I will give it a fair evaluation over the next while and see how it holds up.

So I'd like to thank you all for recommending the GS Air!

Linda, for an iPad you download the app for a trial period, then after 30 days,it's $4.99.
I almost always use an ipad or iphone to come on here and there are nevern any adds (except for an "ad" thread). I use tapatalk to get in here and not the actual website, could that be a difference?

Rather than photos that might not be all that clear, I made some crude drawings of how I modified the GS Air coil caps to CLR.cap1.png
First, the unmodified cap. Then the cuts made with aviation snips.cap2.png
The cuts are made on both opposite sides of the cap.
cap3.png The finished cap with the enlarged, extended slots broken out and the other slots covered with epoxy.
To use, wick the coil without trimming. Slip the cap on so the slots go over the wick, press the cap on, then trim the wick ends fairly close to the cap.
The snips distort the metal a little bit, I just squeezed it back to round on a drill bit with pliers.

I don't usually replace the coil once I rebuild, I just burn and re-wick. FullSizeRender.jpg The blob! It lives!

After hearing all the complaints about tapatalk I'll just put up with the ads...I don't mind seeing them it's only when I go to click on one thing and click on the ad accidentally that it bugs me. But...at least the ads do open in a new tab!! Lol

So by doing it this way, you don't have to wrap the gauze around the coil before putting on the cap correct?
Does the epoxy depart impart any flavor to the wick?
Do the components of the epoxy actually leech into the juice itself?
Only if it's cauliflower epoxy.

Good morning Airheads. Thanks, Crunchie!

Morning report

Yesterday our very own Nanny stopped by to give the guys another well-deserved dope slap for acting like overgrown rascals, and to report on a case of gurgle-itis. Cheech suggested doubling the washers on top of the coil. Cheech is wise, especially after he's slugged down his cauliflower puree with powdered nutmeg. This morning I had an M gurgle, even after the usual condensate swab. I doubled the washers and the gurgles went back to Michigan, where Nanny will find them in her Rice Krispies.
