Thanks Gran! I'll look tomorrow. I know the diameter of the lip has to be the same as the fixture but I'll look around. I don't want the base too much deeper as the ceiling in my kitchen is pretty low. My 6'2" nephew has to duck to keep from hitting the globe.
If you can find one, holophane shades give great illumination. I've used them on old brass lamps I've restored.Yes you all are great cheerleaders!! Thanks!!![]()
Where there's a will, there's a way. I volunteer Cheech's garage.Look at this Welsh ban on e-cigarette 'vaping' in enclosed public places being considered - Daily Post guess where I live.Looks like im moving Cheech clean that garage out you got a party of five coming over![]()

If you get an open one like this, the extra length of an adapter won't matter.
Congratulations on the new family member. Ours spent 8-9 hours hiding but just came out to explore her new home. She puked on the bedroom carpet just to establish that my job is to clean up, and hers is to reign. She has a congenitally deformed front leg, but gets around ok. The adoption shelter described her as "special needs". I'm a curmudgeon, and would have just said "gimpy". She talks, or chirps, a lot. Have to get her a microphone so she can teach Diana Krall a thing or three.WOW, you guys had a busy day!
Way to go, Lynn on the ceiling fan! That's a tough job, but you did it!
My dad had those type of razors, Cheech, when I was a kid. I don't know if it was the same specific brand, but looked very similar. Great memory, there -- and remember how the medicine cabinets all had a little slot at the back for disposal of the old blades? Why do razors now have to "one up" each other -- double blades, triple blades, etc?? Weren't men shaving just fine with a single edge for a LOT of years?? And now blades are so expensive -- WHY??
Congrats on the kitty, Gran -- what's the story with only three legs? How's she liking her new home tonight?
I got a new grand"son" today -- canine version. My son and his wife adopted a shelter pup, named "Larry". He's a five month old black lab mix. Hope he fits into their family ok -- he and his sister were dropped off behind a funeral home - starving and frozen, streets of Detroit. He's been in a foster home for two months getting healthy and socialized. Sometimes the human race just sucks. Who does stuff like that??? He's a sweet little guy. He's got a nice full belly now, he's warm and well cared for and sleeping in a pink princess bed tonight with the twins. LIFE IS GONNA BE GOOD LARRY! Not all people are jerks.![]()

You're welcome to stay in the garage...it's only about 120 degrees in there now. Kinda of like a sauna, you could pretend you're at a fancy spa!Look at this Welsh ban on e-cigarette 'vaping' in enclosed public places being considered - Daily Post guess where I live.Looks like im moving Cheech clean that garage out you got a party of five coming over![]()
