According to the ft comments for the ten-pack, ft says the coils are from "a different manufacturer". Which may mean the same mfr., shipped to ft on Thursdays with a full moon. They come in cellophane rather than hard plastic packaging, but the cardboard container has the eleaf logo on it. Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that they are

coils.

I have now set a record on the FT coils lifespan. I have been using one since June 14 and another since June 21st and they are still going strong although neither has been vaped every day. I did buy a few more tanks and the installed coil lifespan was 1 day for 1 and 2 hours for the other. I have had 2 other dud coils in the last 2 months but do not know if those were "originals" that I purchased or the FT ones I did not mark the boxes as to source.

Good Morning Air Heads,

In my scientific option *haha* the way I can tell the difference in a FT coil... The coils I bought from US venders come in a box of five in a plastic tray and the FT coils come wrapped in a cellophane package of sorts. Second thing I noticed, I clean my tanks and coils (yes I still clean coils) about once a week-ish and there is a small clear silicon type ring that sits on the top of the coil. Now I'm not taking a scrub brush to 'um or anything, this little ring on the FT coil is prone to fall off during a good soak. Investigating unused coils, some of the rings on the FT purchased coils don't sit as flush and "float" a bit. Now I don't noticed a difference in flavor, just that you have to be careful when cleaning or you lose the little ring which I assume is important for creating a seal which in turn prevents floods? See scientific!

Silly morning story. I clean my tanks as I mentioned and those coils previously identified as caput are soaked, air dried for a day and set aside in a baggy for future endeavors. Because I have ten tanks, I rotate the replacement of coils depending on how things fair during the week; type of juice used, flavor, what's it firing at...those types of things. Well somehow in my cleaning process I mixed up the coils and I can't tell which ones were marked for death and which ones were deemed suitable for further use. Since I don't always fill all tanks right away, its a crap shoot on which coil is well loved and which one is still good to go. I'm thinking I will just fire them and see how the ohms read. If its high, then I guess its gunky.

A crap shoot can be spiritually uplifting.

Just don't shoot actual crap... that's never a good situation.

Not sure if it's the same, but I have silicone on top of 1.5 coils that came out a box of 5 plastic tray from a US vendor.

Going on day 3 with my first gs air m and loving it. I came from kanger mpt2/evod and was reluctant to upgrade because I didn't want to consume more juice and/or battery. Seems like I'm not (could be wrong), and in fact, it seems like I'm using less battery (istick30). With the mpt2/evod's I would take the full 10 second draw (7.5-8 watts on 1.8 coils). Now I only need 5 second draws (10 watts 1.5 dual coils) with a better vape and taste, though sometimes I go the distance. If I am using more, it ain't much. So anyone looking to upgrade but reluctant for the same reasons, go ahead and make the switch. Excellent tank. Can't wait for the gs-tank to get here.

I have been following some of the threads on a few of the newer tanks, namely the Aspire Triton and the Freemax Starre. What I am getting out of those is users are experiencing many problems such as major leaking. I am going to stay right here with the GS Airs. I don't recall anyone on this thread saying that their whole tank leaked down their battery. Granted, i haven't tried those two tanks, so i can't really knock them. I just don't want to take the chance of major problems with more expensive tanks!

I totally agree, Jingles. I've also been following the Aspire Triton thread simply because I saw a pbusardo video where he was actually raving about it being a great MTL tank. And since no one seems to be making many of those anymore, it caught my interest. But that thread is full of people having leaking problems, which I want no part of. It's really amazing how trouble-free these Air tanks are.

It is amazing. Being a truck driver, having to refill my mpt2/evods during the day was really getting on my nerves. I really needed something bigger and to me, upgrading meant something that didn't have leaking issues. Now I may be starting a new job, not driving, so I wanna ask about the durability of these plastic tanks as far as putting in your pocket and walking around, sitting, walking around, squatting etc. Of course, this was the main reason I bought the ss gs-tank, but I still need to know what the gs airs can handle.

I'm definitely using a lot more juice. But I think it's because it tastes SOOOOO much better in an Air tank than anything else! :D
:D Is tempting, but so far I'm controlling myself. The first day I cranked up the watts and airflow just to see and got knocked off my feet :vapor:
What do y'all say, tootle puffer? That's me I guess. Used to be a marlboro man, then I went lights, then I wen't vaping 22mg down to 6mg, and was planing on quiting altogether......that was 2 years ago :D but I'm no vapor chaser.

These tanks aren't plastic I don't think. I dropped one at work on the concrete floor and it splintered into pieces. Had it been plastic it wouldn't have done that. Now I keep hair bands on mine to help keep it from happening again.
Hmmm....wonder what it is.....
