The Ego One is 6mm taller, but noticeably skinnier. That said, I still prefer the Mini istick 20w over it... I vape the GS Air MS at 20 watts and the Ego One is unregulated and can't push that power at a resistance as high as 1.2 ohms.

Yeah.. That eGo One looks like it was Made for a GS Air M/MS.

If they could Somehow pack a VV or VV/VW board into it, I would have one in My Arsenal.

Well I finally rebuilt my 1st air coil as a single coil. Wasn't that hard thanks to all the great info and vids here - that really helped.
The vape was ok but, for me, not better than a pre-built one. But I can't imagine getting the 2-3 week life out of it, particularly on the wick, that I get from the prebuilt.
Since I am trying to simplify everything I think I will just keep going with the fasttech coils. But I will be able to survive a vapocalypse if needed. And I may keep playing with it now and then.

Just save all your old coils to your vapocalypse stash, and you'll be all set! :D

Curious about what gauge wire you used, wicking material, how many wraps, liner material....I'm just full of questions!
I am surprised you're not getting a better vape on a recoil. Usually the recoils are better for flavor and vapor production.

Way to Go westhc.

I think just Knowing I can rebuild on of these Air Heads is Cool. You Never know if you might get a Bad Batch of Coils or something.

And Rebuilding can be a Good Fail Back.

I am glad I have good friends that can rebuild! (Of course, it would be better to be self-sufficient in case the zombies get my friends).
Better yet, if they change into zombies, chain them up and have recoiling zombies!

I'm ready for the zombies! Put all my money in shotguns, canned goods and rayon!

Don't forget about a Chainsaw.

Zombies just Hate chainsaws. That and spinning Helicopter Blades. But a Chainsaw is a Lot Cheaper than a Helicopter. And takes Less Gas to run.

That's why I went with the Chainsaw.

Note to self...check Amazon for chainsaws...preferably with one day shipping, you never know.

Let's challenge my memory.
I made several variations and I tried both 30g and 32g, various wraps, etc. just to see how the coil operated. I ended up using the 30g.
I believe I used 5 wraps for 1.7ohms, rayon wicking, 2 wraps of gauze for the liner.
No leaking, smooth vape, but just not a better vape than the stock coil to my taste.
It was a little tricky getting the cap back on but that worked out ok.

I have been rebuilding coils for 1-1/2 years so I'm comfortable doing it. I'm just tired of rebuilding which is why I have switched almost all flavors over to the Airs and stock coils.
I also DIY for my liquid but now have simplified down to several 1, 2, and a few 3 flavor recipes that I like.
After almost 2 years vaping the hobby aspect has waned.

Sharpened rebar is much quieter and less messy than a shotgun if you are not overrun.
A friend who has pay cable let me know that last season of Walking Dead (so he has watched it) will be available on Netflix August 7 (I think). I don't have cable.

Oh, and I have saved all my old coils.

It is a well know fact that zombies, given the choice of shotguns, rayon, or canned goods, will always go for the Twinkies and Tootsie Roll Pops first. I read that on the inerweb, so it must be true.

As I said, simple curiosity...like to hear about variations on coiling these tanks.
Hm-m-m-m...now to stop at home depot and check out the rebar. Wonder what gauge for zombies?

...

The First one I did, using the Stock sleeve wick worked Great. The second time I did it, after some Trial and Error, turned out Great Also.

On Both, I would say that the Flavor and Vapor was about the Same as a Stock Head.

I do think it Helped a little to widen the Slots in the Head Body. But it is kinda Hard to say by only having one to judge it too.
