These little buggers are pretty sweet for the price........

Likely fix:
Remove the drip tip.
Turn tank upside down, remove the base.
From the bottom, blow through the tank, out the top.
Use a q-tip/paper towel and swab the top out.
Replace the base. Swab the top again and the drip tip.
Replace on atty, turn up the power. ie 7 watts to 10 watts.
Take 4 or 5 hard puffs.
Turn power back to your normal level.
Less likely: bad coil. Replace.
I haven't been giving this tank much attention since my first couple test runs, I will be giving it a good try over the next few days and staying away from my Nautilus'.
A lot of good tips and advice here, I only rinsed it with hot water prior to using the first one, I haven't even opened the second one yet but I may try washing that one a little different to see if makes any difference.
So here's something weird; I got my ADV in the mail today, in a lowered nic strength and I figured it was time to put a new coil on the GS. Been on the original for two weeks now. At first, I'm getting a bit of gurgling and when I press the button it doesn't seem to fire right away. Also, the draw seems a lot tighter, even though I didn't change the AFC. So I get that adjusted again to the right setting but there's still some gurgling. I didn't have that problem at all until I put in the new coil. Ideas anyone?
The good news is that with the lowered nic level, I can chain vape a bit more without feeling lightheaded or nauseated.
P.S.
On a brighter note, flavor and vapor are still great!
YMMV but I didn't do anything to that second coil and it performed markedly better than the first for both flavor and airflow.
Well that sucks. At least it was cheap, right?.I've been using a silo tank lately on the biggest airflow setting, probably why it seems tight to me.
Have you tried to play around with it? Adjust the air flow, change the coil, prime the coil good?
Its funny you mentioned this, a few days before I got the GS Airs I got a Silo Lite, and I am loving it. The Lite does not have adjustable air flow, but it performs great, it has replaced my mini nautilus and vivi novas as my favorite tank. The only downside is it is huge, which is fine for my 20 and 30 watt sticks, but looks ridiculous on the mini's!
( I also got a kick out of your name. I am an Amy G, and my husbands name is Patrick, and we are also in Indiana. I had to remind myself that my Patrick G does not vape when I first saw your posts, lol)
The other two holes are 'air flow channels' and don't accept a screw.
They are not. BDC (bottom dual coils) do not have any ceramic/fiberglass in them. BVC (bottom vertical coils) do.
I find it very difficult to clean enclosed coils of any kind, including new Kanger BDCs. You could just do a "wet burn." Fill the tank (halfway or so) with 50%PG/VG and 50% vodka and vape this (without inhaling) until the tank is empty. Repeat if necessary.
...
I just tried a Wet Burn, but with warm water in the tank. I alternated between shaking, firing, and vaping without inhale. A bunch of times.
Coil is yielding good flavor again. I think it worked.
I just got two new ones in today. I am doing a vodka soak right now and then I will rinse and let them air dry. I am trying to avoid that funky taste my first one gave me when it was new. I want to say it took at least 2-3 tankfuls before my first one "broke in", so don't give up on the flavor yet Amy 87.
They are the Cherry Vape pawn drip tips. I bought them when I first started buying Ahlusion.
Thanks, That's good to know. I was talking about the second tank I bought though. I hadn't planned on washing my coils even though it seems to be a viable option.
I guess it is time for the duct tape then.
