Rocketman-- If you don't care very much what it looks like--at my age beauty has long since ceased to be an issue unless it belongs to someone else--there is a way to deal wih a couple of your issues:
1. More or less permanently install the 510/ego converter. This has a few benefits--
a) protects the battery threads from wear
b) raises the GS Air or other tank so that fingers don't block airflow
c) moves the center of gravity up a bit, which makes it a little more comfortable for me. (maybe not for normal folks)
I use a truncated cone "beauty ring" from an old Kanger tank to minimize the awkward appearance and keep me from doing clumsy damage. There have been no issues with center pin contact.
You can try this for private home use, and do something more stylish in public. For me, "in public" usually involves a wood splitter and sawdust, so cosmetics are not a priority.

Thanks, I have the 510/ego adapter from my iSticks and a 19mm beauty ring from from my Nauti Minis but I just don't like the added height.

Is the pin on the GS Air adjustable. It looks like you can put a flat screwdriver on it.

Yep, it is adjustable via that flathead screw you see.

Thanks, I was afraid to mess with is. I didn't notice it coming out further after unscrewing it but now it still reads atomizer after a 1/2 turn where before it was a quarter turn. Had to unscrew it about 10 revolutions, so it's not very adjustable and must have something keeping it from unscrewing out.

Now where is the volume control?

I hope being that you adjusted it maybe it's a little quieter?
It doesn't seem to be a real fine adjustment, but the screw does the trick.

What was that? Can you speak up. I can't hear you over the noise of this tank.

Seriously, it is loud. Hopefully the GS Air M and MS are a little quieter. Not sure I want to vape it in front of anyone.

I feel the vapor and flavor production is on par with the Nautilus Mini with original BVCs. Vaping at 6W right now which is how I start out on my Minis.

I am very happy right now. I am a certified Toodle Puffer and have been using the Mini and original BVCs since I quit smoking 3 and 1/2 months ago. I am worried that the new larger hole BVCs will flood with my style of vaping. Now I am not so worried as I have an alternative.

I am also very happy that the air holes almost face forward when screwed on my spare iStick 20W. The way I hold it, my index finger rests on the top of the iStick and against the back base of the tank which would sometimes block the air-hole on my Minis. I solved that problem by using a thin washer to adjust where the tank stops spinning when putting it on the iStick. This is possible because the Mini actually has a floating pin.

I notice with the GS Air that even a quarter turn less than snug and it doesn't read the atomizer. Is the pin adjustable?

Bumped it up to 6.5 and I am in heaven. Thank you all for convincing me to get this tank. Picture time.

I never did care for the metal tips on any tanks. The metallic taste always transferred to my juice.
Welcome to the GSA club. ;)

I was talking about the 510 pin on the bottom of the base. Adjusting that (if it even did anything) did not lower the volume. LOL

I have the airflow set to the way I like it (in Toodle Puffer range) and it is loud on the draw. Can't hear my iStick 20W button rattle over all that commotion.

Waiting on the liner. Right now I can wet burn them and still use them. Don't want to tear them apart until I can rebuild them.

I'm broken hearted that it has not reached you yet....
Was sure you would have it by now.
By the way, great looking bunch in the photo!
