On a more serious note, got a quick question for those of you who have used Cheechako's rebuilding method. After vaping on my rebuilt coil for awhile, I started realizing that the draw is a lot tighter than the stock coils. I even took it off and put in a stock coil for awhile just to compare. I always leave my airflow wide open, so it shouldn't be that.

So I'm wondering if it has to do with the rebuild being single coil rather than dual coil. Or if it's about the amount of rayon I used. I did stuff it in there, but that seems to be what everyone who uses rayon advises. Or if it could be some other issue. Anyone notice the same with your rebuilds?

I had nothing but trouble today so I gave up. 3 times I rebuilt the same coil and had different issues each time lol. The coil is sitting on my desk apart until tomorrow when I have more time to build it again. Trouble with the new liner, the cotton in the coil, the coil itself. Ugh tomorrow is another day lmao.

That was only part of what went wrong today. We got a king size bed, if I put the platform together I have to move my dressers out of the room lol. So I have a platform I need to get rid of and wait for a frame to be shipped to me on 4/1. Oh well maybe something will go right tomorrow lol

I should, but Bike seems to be having enough problems today with his "40W iStick." Sounds like he has LOTS of screws loose. :D

The wife says you got that right!.....:D.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly, their just too inexpensive to repurchase, rather than get my Irish temper flaring trying to rebuild one......:D

I have enough anxiety in my life to take on another challenge.....:p

I'm about to order some more coils. Do the newer version of the GS coils not work with the eGrip or cause leaking? I fixed my leaking issue by using the eGrip head's silicone ring. My first coil is starting to experience diminished flavor. I'm wondering if I should bother with rebuilding or just pop in a new coil. It kinda seems like a pain to rebuild it and I never seem to have much luck anyways.

I feel I must reiterate, this is why I don't rebuild. :)

Must be the new ones they are coming out with.
Checked mine from two different stores and they are all the old ones.
I hope LVM's trouble with the one like that isn't an omen...

I'm just glad the mystery's solved, Shaggy! :D

Life and vaping should be easy, pop a new one in.
Still undetermined if the leaking on new type coil was a fluke or harbinger.

Better results this morning. Sorry no pics, coil is 6 wraps on a 2mm driver and cotton Cheech I used the liner you sent, 2 ply with 1 wrap. Found it easier to wrap by dripping some liquid on it and a tight wrap to slide the cap back on. So far 15w with 1.2 ohms no dry hits yet, cant report about rayon vs cotton yet still waiting on muds slow turtle to arrive lmao. Glad I have 5 backup mods I can turn to when things go bad lol.
