but wouldn't a wicked coil stay still?

Well then, I shall soldier on!

{edited} I think the insulator is too thin. My ohm reader won't read the coil at all with it screwed into the air base. And I'm getting no atomizer on the istick. There's maybe only a millimeter of difference in thickness, but it may as well be a mile.:(

If you found these to work, then that looks like the solution. I keep having to pull the pin down to make a connection with the bottom of the tank. I had to do this twice during my test fire. I'll test it overnight for leaks once I get one of my Airs empty.:) I'll make sure I have the pin pulled down enough to make connection, but I'll leave it suspended on a thread cover over a paper towel. But this looks more like an emergency stop gap than something practical for everyday use.

You should be glad you broke that one, Cheech. You always have a spare base for building.:)

And is it just me, or is this forum a buggy, error-throwing mess today?!?!

The price seems impracticle for the price of the coils...I'm going to test the Subtank grommet agin and see
what happens.
I've broke more than one...:( Clumsy idiot!
new one has always been a buggy, error throwing mess...worst forum I've ever been on for repeated errors and off-line!

You read my mind, Kiv. I was going to mention it earlier (this afternoon), but I just got back a while ago and I'm still getting the same. At one point, I couldn't keep up and the next thing I new, everybody was gone.

:) I must say, the Chinese should take lessons off of Cheech for the coil manufacturing. I immediately noticed a difference. Just received a beautiful package from my friend Cheech with some coils to try out and a handy green toe nail clipper for recoiling purposes and even got a birthday card!
No really, thanks very much Cheech, for the Thank you card & the new wire snips along with the coils!! :toast: I really appreciate it!
Tastes unbelievable!! View attachment 463472

Anyone up for some Lollipops, Roses and Lanyards?

This is what happens when the lobbyists for the good folks at Monsanto write the regulations defining "organic" for our own good. King of like BT lobbying for "safer" ecigs.

Wait. There are GOOD FOLKS at Monsanto??? Who knew!!

The entire pin, insulator and head assembly must be tight. The pin and insulator are what terminate the coil leads, keep your resistance steady and your coil vapeable. Until a suitable insulator is found, the head goes into a parts bin... Sowwy :(
