Quick re-wick question. I'm sorry if this has already been discussed.

Now that eleaf is making OC coils for the GS is everyone still using Rayon as Cheech first used OR...

Bruce in Ocala, Fl

I've only Re-Wicked 2 Heads. (These things seem to Last a Lot Longer than I thought they Would. - LOL)

On both, I used Muji Cotton pads. And they Both are Hitting like a Champ.

Used ones are ok unless the tinning is worn and the copper shows on the inside.
You might check Craig's List for places like Providence, RI or Fall River, Mass., with large Portuguese populations. I'll keep watch at the local thrift shops. Might find one for you.

Here's how far I have to walk for fresh seafood.

Just FYI, I couldn't resist the shinyitis and picked up a second 40W TC from Rocky Mountain Vapor. Still $37.00 and the SUMMER15 code still works... $27.75, shipped.

Just sayin'... if someone were to be considering one... and wanted a good price... and didn't want to miss out on that awesome 25% off... Oh, and all colors are in stock, but who knows for how long...
I'm not enabling or anything... just sayin'...;)
Good thing I didn't see this before I placed an order there, lol. I wasn't going to order anything else until the end of the month, but fell off the wagon since I used my last GS Air coil tonight. I ordered 3 boxes of 1.2 ohm cotton coils, 1 box of 1.5 ohm dual coils (wouldn't let me order but 1, may have been the last one?), a new GS Air Tank, a GS M Tank (the only one I don't have yet), all for $45 after the 25% off SUMMER15 code discount with free shipping!. That's pretty amazing prices there!

They give a 5% discount, too. I wonder what platinum coils would cost? :)
I can't imagine they're cheap... unless it's some sort of alloy with a low, low percentage of platinum. The stuff is at $990 per oz, right now. Even if the coils use 1/100th of an ounce, that's still $10 of just platinum... still need to factor in other metals in the alloy and the coil housing itself... markups, too. If it's pure platinum, I'd imagine the coil weighs in around 2 or 3 hundredths of an ounce... that's $20-$30 platinum. If it's some sort of uber coil that lasts forever, maybe it's worth it... probably hype, though.

I seem to remember reading something a year or so ago about super alloy coils that ramp up faster and get like 3x hotter... they supposedly lasted tons longer, too. Iif I'm not mistaken, one of these alloys was partially platinum and cost like $700 per foot. Never heard anything of it again, so maybe the benefits literally didn't outweight the cost.

Maybe on Reddit?

Plat wires. Custom hybrid metals in these things conduct at least 3 times faster and hotter than traditional kanthal or nichrome wire. : Coilporn

Mostly brown trout, brook trout, pickeral and salmon....catch and release. Some bass.
Wild rice? This ain't Minnysoter!
It's tidal estuary, a few miles from the Atlantic, so whatever doesn't like salt water isn't here.

Bike wouldn't feel at home. No cottonmouths. No copperheads. No coral snakes. Not even rattlesnakes. (except during election season....but I digress)

Yep Minnesota.

Born in Feb.,'40 at Red Lake, MN., a rez. The fishing was good and the ladies gathered wild rice from the shallows. Walleye filet with wild rice, beer batter and seasonings cooked up just so was so good your tongue would beat your brains out trying to get at it. After war moved to Pine Ridge, SD, grim existence there. Father was Lakota, mother was sicilian, family was wild. '56 moved to K.C., Mo. mom's vicino. The party, and the deals, were on.

Pace e buona notte.
