No - never high wattage. 8 watts is high(ish) for me. I'm typically on 1.6 or 1.8 ohm BVCs. On my very rare builds, I always aim for well over 1 ohm and I'm quite happy to hit 2.

I couldn't find the max resistance the istick 20 will handle. I think the minimum is 1 ohm. A review mentioned that it can only hit 20W with coils closer to that limit.

The 40W istick has no problem driving anything I've tried, but I don't push it - I suspect it would spend most of its time recharging if used much above 15W.
