Just a side note on this. ..I have screwed in the adapter that comes with it and then just screw the tanks in and out of that...thus way if anything does wear out...its the adapter threads and you can replace that for around 2 bucks at any vape store. May make your tanks sit up higher...but I never need to worry about wearing out the iStick threads any time.
Happy vaping
Cheers
Mace

This is a very good idea..........

I have a bunch of 20 watters. They work fine for me, especially with the Nautilus mini and GS Air. I do use a 510 to Ego/510 adapter on all of them except one. I replaced the 510 connector on that one with an old style 510 connector like this.

The 20w has very soft threads and will strip out with repeated tank changes.
I have the 30W and use an adapter. I have flavor ADHD. Why risk the damage?

Why Mods that Use the Cheap 33.3 Hz Chip don't Vape the Same as a Provari, DNA-20, etc

Most of the Chinese mod manufacturers use cheaper, less sophisticated regulating chips in order to decrease production and sale costs, which use "mean" and not "RMS" regulation. These are not capable of down regulating power (they can be widely inaccurate, especially at lower voltages). They can't output voltages between 3v and 4.2 volts even though their display say they can and are. Therefore, they may appear to be vaping "hot" or harsh at lower wattage settings.
I strongly believe it is just a tale invented by Busardo (he likes to show his equipment).
Thermal inertion of a system coil-wick-juice is so high that it will average heating effect at any frequency.

This little guy seems to wore great with its 20w... why would I go higher? Kicked my ... on 13w, 18 mg juice. .. been a day but no analog''s yet.

Good job with no analogs. If your system work for you, don't fix what's not broken. If it's satisfying your needs, then you are good to go. :)

If you like how you setup is working for you, no need to change.:)
Many vapers love vaping at low wattage.

I like running at higher wattage (a warmer vape). I can't do this with a Nautilus because it doesn't have enough airflow & wicking ability to support higher wattage. SubΩ clearomizers do have this so they can run at higher wattage.

Lower Ohm Coils Will:
  • Heat The Coil Faster
  • Produce More Vapor
  • Drain The Battery Faster
  • Use E-Juice Faster
  • Produce A Warmer Tasting Vape
Higher Ohm Coils Will:
  • Heat The Coil Slower, Which Will Produce “Less” Vapor
  • Provide A “Cooler” Tasting Vape
  • Use Less E-Juice
  • Prolong Battery Life

Great explanation :)

So my mom's 40w box is wasted on her nautilus? I guess besides great battery life?

Ive had the worst luck with them.. Love the simplicity and size for a daily driver, however, 3/3 30-watt devices all died prematurely with the dreaded 'atomizer short'.
Finally broke down and got a VS DNA 40 and have had no issues.
Have you tried to adjust 510 contacts on atomizers or mods?

Yes. Ive tried everything. 30-watt iSticks have sprung loaded pins. That being said, Ive tried adjusting all my atty's, cleaned connections, etc., etc.. Works one minute, then 'atomizer short' the next... and never fires again. I thought the first two were duds until my third.. Great device otherwise and many have stated them to be very reliable. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

You can believe what you choose to believe. Some people are unable to detect a difference. Myself and many others can tell the difference. The Rattlesnake phenomenon was not invented by PBusardo, he merely showed documented evidence with his oscilloscope findings in his reviews why some vapers can tell the difference.

I have an Istick 20W and and eGrip V1 20W. Both fantastic performers but I would never buy either of them again. When they need to be replaced it will be with something like a Kanger Kbox or a Gripper VV. Both inexpensive and you KNOW they've got a safe battery in them because YOU bought the battery and put it in.
Now I don't lay awake at night worrying about the batteries in these 2 mods. One thing I've learned from these forums is that battery safety is one of, if not our biggest issue. I would just rather know than trust any corporation whether Chinese, American or Zimbabwean to give a rats behind about my safety. GM?
