I have low expectations, if at all.

Having spent 3 or 4 times as much on shoddy mods that lasted less than a year (less than 6 months with joyetech EVIC) I'll be happy with even 4 months.

The whole idea that buying a mod with replaceable batteries is better is kind of flawed. OK, so the batteries will last x amount of charges, but chances are the mod won't go on forever, few do.

The iStick is essentially a throwaway item. Under 3 months, not many people are going to be happy.More than 6 makes it a bargain in my eyes.

With that in mind, I highly suggest you check out REO Mods. My reo is just as stable today as it was when I got it. So is the RM2 I picked up.
Keep in mind that means wrapping coils, so study up on that.
Or just go with a mechanical mod, just a battery and mechanical switch, and do tanks.

I agree with you 100%. Once I moved up from the ego, I bought a VAMO with replacement batteries which I loved. However the Vamo broke, had to get another one which that one broke. The batteries are still working, so now that I'm on my 3rd Vamo I make sure to keep that one at home and bring my iStick and my newest toy the eGrip out. Both have built in batteries, I don't need to carry around spare batteries and I love them more than the Vamo now.

Me and the gf have have our isticks for just over a month. Thus far they have cost us $1.19 a day each, so $2.38 total (2x$35/30), and haven't developed problems.

Prior to that was our first 2 months vaping. We went through 5 or 6 vision spinner/spinner II/gravity batteries because of the weak spot at the top of the tube

(16*6= $96, $96/60days = $1.60/day)

Superior performance, better battery life, regulated power and no fall off....

The break even point vs spinner style batteries if we continued to be hard on them is 43 days (70/1.6)

We're almost there already.

If they last 3 months they will have cost $0.78 (35x2/90) per day for 2 people or $0.39 a head per day.

I will admit they are not a power vaper or gadget guy device.

They are however a nice gateway between low power, low performance batteries and more powerful mods.

so far I'm enjoying mine...its the best model for convenience/size/ergonomics that's out there...and before this model ive been through about 3-4 other types of batteries that have lasted anywhere between 1- 6 months or so...if I get 6 months to year out of this one I will consider it about par for what ive seen thus far (the others were cheaper models)...if less than 6 months I will be disappointed...that is continual use as well since I vape with it daily.

I have to wonder if there is possibly a correlation between those with sinking pins and those with threading issues.

As in; maybe the threads are being damaged by prying the pins up... possible?

I got my first Istick 40'some days ago, and the second, 20'some. Zero issues with either thus far (knock on wood).

I even knocked my first one over in the sink a few weeks ago. It was completely submerged for a second before I could snatch it back out... it still works perfectly.

If you are at all comfortable with a soldering iron, nothing about changing a battery in a device like the iStick or a VS DNA 30 should frighten you. I work on rebuilding iPods and cell phones that I buy broken on eBay...those are much more complex than changing out the battery in one of these.

Hi, nice ROI figures.

This is (one of) the market space that the iStick is playing in. Going from a starter setup (cigalike, egos, varvolt twists) to variable watts with a display, the iStick fits nicely, along with the MVP (and a few others).

No batteries to buy. Or chargers. It gets many of us to variable wattage with the big capacity. For $35 to $40, I got a day and a half unit.

Hey, my two VarVolt Halo Tritons served me superbly for the past year. Yea I needed 2 to get me thru the day. The last few months, not even all day.

It is soo nice to look at the bat display and leave the house with just one device.

And several provari users are getting iSticks. Bigger capacity, variable watts and the small profile. (until they can arrange financing for the newest provari)

To the OP Hammerjagg: Roll the dice. I expect the iStick to bring me way past to the next generation of devices. (think 7,500mAh temp regulated, programmable power curves the size of a wine cork. Battery tech is going to make a huge leap in 2015)

Vape NW has Isticks for $29.xx and $6 shipping. Free shipping over $75. I ordered from them when they were selling on eBay and got it in a few days.

The Istick is held together with sheet screws with odd torx heads (in between T5 and T4 but you can get a T5 to work) and can be taken apart and put back together if you know what you're doing (I've fixed 2 so far).

After reading your comment I got out the eye loop and examined mine more closely. You are right ... it could be called a crude Torx head screw, although it looks like someone used a pin punch on it after installation to tighten up the top and bottom and prevent tampering.

I've had mine for over a month now. Threads still work but wobbly without an adapter, so I just use an adapter and beauty ring.

If I get three months out of it, it'll be a win.

I don't like comparing it to smoking costs - you can get a decent vape with a 20$ kit (spinner and mini protank or aspire k1) and juice/coil maintenance fees, but a better vape could cost quite a bit more, and additional devices etc.

My EHPro Kayfun 3.1 sits nicely on the iStick. The width of the two are almost exact. The Kayfun almost bottoms out on the case with .010 to .015 thousandths clearance as it hits the center pin. I can barely see light under the Kayfun. I really like the looks of how the two fit together. I agree that a 510 male to 510 female adapter is a good idea, but it would just spoil the looks if it lifted the Kayfun. I probably won't force the pin any farther down since the Kayfun touches the case at one point. I can always raise it back up if needed.

The two together look like they were made for each other. Pictures I've seen of the Kayfun Lite are an even better match with the iStick since the KF Lite is a little narrower.

I've been on a mod buying binge this month. Hana clone, VS rDNA 40 and just last night I ordered a Hana mini clone. I haven't received any of them yet.

If quitting smoking was to save money, I'm doing it wrong

I've been using KF's on my Istick and they're perfect. 3.1, KFL+ and KFL+ v2. I have another v2 on the way.

I have Joye Ego batts that have been going for 3 years. I really wish they would die because I'm done with them. 2 Joye Eroll PCC's going on 2 years.

The istick is barely bigger than my old 900 mah Nicostick, and I don't have to mess with batteries.
The istick was what I always wanted but couldn't make that small with an 18650, connectors, switch, batt door,... It just wasn't worth the trouble. It would be too big.
I also wanted juice feed, but the Reo was too big.
So I have been in love with my 2 isticks for over a month. I've had no issues, except the Egrip that came in the mail yesterday!! New Love!:)
All 3 for about $100.
