My nautilus is doing fine, I can't vape in succession though, then I get burntish hits. My 2.5 ohm coils on my protank 2 forget it, they fry......I don't get it, and I'm impatiently waiting for V2.....

It is a common problem though it isn't talked about much. The iStick just isn't good for stock single coils unless they are BVC. Overpowered at the lowest setting. So yes, you will have a lot of folks saying "But my Nautilus vapes perfect on my iStick!", but that is not a good comparison to every other product out there. BVC coils are made to handle much higher power, which marries well with the iStick's "eLeaf watts" which are way higher than displayed.

Mine is going to go into a nice drawer until I can find some RTA that suits its strange way of powering. I like my Kayfuns, my Taifuns, and I don't really want to invest in a Nautilus.

I really dislike burnt hits, and had become totally unused to them...until the istick arrived, that is. Now I really know what a burnt hit tastes like, and, uh, no thank you.

My Kayfuns work really well on them. I opted for a wider diameter coil ID than I previously ran, thinned the wick a bit and usually run 1.3 ohm coils around 8-9 watts and it works fantastic.

Ok I'm refreshing myself with how VV and VW work. And it seems to me VW is clearly the way to go as you can set the wattage and no matter what resistance of coil your using you'll get the same amount of heat. So my question is, why is the minimum wattage on this thing different with each resistance? Doesn't seem too "set and forget" as every article and thread I've looked at had me believing.

Because once you get lower in wattage, the device cannot "regulate down" that far so the device kind of sets a hard lower limit.

I run a Kayfun lite with a 1.3ohm coil on mine at anywhere from 8-10 watts (3.3 - 3.5v) and it doesn't burn. Either you have a faulty device or something is wrong with your atty head.
