eLeaf Istick TC60W temp control issues

Maybe I'm doing something wrong...
I'm not a noob to vaping or sub-ohm vaping for that matter, but I am a noob to temp control devices. When I try to vape using temp control, I get cloud comparative to a Nautilus tank with a 1.6 ohm coil and not much flavor. I tried with the Ti 0.5 ohm coil and switched it over to the Ni 0.15 coil and same results with both. I know to set the Istick at Ni or Ti settings and such, just not getting the cloud and flavor I would if using VW mode. Any thoughts?

Also, i've tried experimenting with different temp and wattage settings, doesn't change much.

Do you have the initial resistance locked for the coil? I want too pleased with the Melo 2 that came with mine. I've started using the TFV4 and like then much better, but the stock coils need more power than 60 watts, so I'm using the rba deck.

What does locking the resistance do anyway? But yes, I did try that, didn't seem to have an effect either

With the tank at room temp you have to hold the +/- button together to lock you coils resistance in for the tank to vape correctly.

Also, did you prime your coils and let the tank sit for a couple minutes to saturate the wicks?

TC mode works based off of known increases in resistnce that correlate to an increase in temperature. As the coil heats up the resistance will increase. Locking it will keep it set so the mod has an accurate resistance to estimate the temperature from. It's also important that the initial resistance was locked with the coil at room temperature.

I had better luck with the nickel coils. I haven't been using TC lately, though.

I'm getting better flavor with the Ni coil. The Ti coil had a weird taste to it for some reason, with the same juice

I have a quick tangential question and finally a 60TC thread to ask it in...

Unlike my 40TC, I presume the 60 allows adjusting the wattage in TC modes.
If so... what is the button sequence to get to watt adjust?

Press the Mode button (the small one at the bottom) and the +/- buttons to change the wattage setting.

Yes, you can. Hold the mode button, then press wattage up or down. You can press and hold the wattage up or down buttons or click them for .1 increments.

It's something I was pondering as relates to the i200, aka... Reuleaux RX200.

That uses a 4 fire button click to switch (no mode button). But it's still an i200.
