Hello from vapeville,

Entry-level vaper here looking to upgrade to RTAs, more specifically the eleaf Lemo. I know very little about proper voltages/wattages for devices of this nature, so can someone suggest a decently priced mod/battery for the Lemo?

Can't seem to find any sort of suggestions or recommendations for the Lemo (not even on their site). How much power does this thing need to provide a good vape? I'm assuming you wouldn't try an RTA on a twist style battery, right?

I've been looking into a dna 30 device, something like the Cloupor Cana. Is 30w too small of a wattage nowadays? I know they're coming out with 100w+ devices lately.

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions and what you use with your Lemo! Thanks

w00tkid,

I have the Lemo atop an eleaf istick. It works wonderfully for me, but there is a 1 mm overlap on the tank where it sits on the mod. I find 20W to be plenty for my vape style, and since the istick will not sub ohm, I doubt if I would ever need 20W. Typically I vape between 9-11 W.

Keep in mind that people who are sub ohming and running really high watts are usually doing so with drippers with massive airflow. The Lemo has some of the best airflow out there for a tank and is going to do much better in that department, but I still don't hear of many people running the Lemo above 20Watts.

I personally am taking a strong look at the ipv mini 30W mod right now. At $50 to $60 , it has most of the advantages of the istick, but also has a replaceable battery, adjustable 510 connection......and will fire down to .5 ohm. That would be the direction I would go.....but I hear things abou the Cloupor 30W as well.

Running an RTA on a twist is possible if you build for the voltage the twist is capable of. I run my Lemo on occasion with an ego battery if my istick battery is charging.

Sounds like you've done some research and I personally love the Lemo. If you don't ever intend to build sub ohm , then I think you'll find 30W to be more power than ever necessary.....and I doubt you'd use more than 20W on a Lemo.

I would suggest waiting for the new Istick 30W or 50W, both are coming out towards the end of January.

I really don't get this hype about the iStick devices. I have an iStick and this 510 connector is a pain in the a..! Can't put my Lemo on it because the ohm's are jumping all the time. Just google istick and 510 connector problems and you will get tons of results...

So why should he go for an iStick?

I've had Lemo's since they first came out back in June, own 6 of them, and have ran them anywhere from 25w to 80w.
Now I'm not going to say you can't run one at 10-15w it is certainly possible, and I know some do run them at lower power settings, but I can tell you the Lemo comes onto it's own at higher power settings.
I run mine daily at 30-40 watts on a DNA40, and when I use the IPV3 I've tested mine up to 80w although I do not enjoy a scalding hot vape they will handle it as long as you have wick them correctly and give them plenty of air flow.

IMO of all the mods, drippers and tanks I own, the Lemo paired with a DNA40 is the ultimate combination for a flavor chaser.

May I ask for some Pics of your Builds?

I have run the Lemo at 11 watts on an MVP, but is does really well at 30 watts... It depends on what kind of coil or coils you build, at what wattage and what kind of vape you want.

The Lemo is a tasty little tank and the best RBTA I ever owned. I mostly use the Atlantis now, but for special high end juices I will break out the Lemo Drop.

Is an "eLeaf Lemo box mod" the iStick?

or are we talking something new and interesting?

The eLeaf Lemo is a relatively new (6 months old or so?) Kayfun style rebuildable tank with a bigger deck, larger chimney, and airflow control that ranges from fully closed (like no air at all) to open enough to take a lung hit - not like "plume veil with all the ports open" airflow, but on par with some of the tighter to middle RDAs. It has bigger juice channels than a Kayfun and can handle much higher wattages if you want it to. Comes in 2 sizes - the Lemo holds 5 or 6 ml at a time, and the smaller Lemo Drop is like 2.5ml. And it's only $30-40. I recently got one to try it out and now all my kayfuns sit in a drawer. That's a pic of the Drop in my avatar.

The OP is looking for an appropriate mod to run it on.

Thanks for the responses.

Sounds like 30w should be plenty of power for the Lemo. Seems like the Cloupor DNA 30 has become a favorite as far as clones go, so I might pick one up soon.

The iStick devices also seem pretty good, but I have heard a lot of mixed reviews.

I'll let you guys know how the new setup performs!
Istick has apparently fixed all the problems the 20 has with the new 30w available now for 33.99 shipped. The 50w will be available shortly :)

I know what a Lemo is. I misunderstood the O.P. so apologize for adding confusion when there was none.

Apparently they fixed the 510 connector for the new iSticks — just watched a review video. It seems like the iStick 30w was designed for the Lemo (and the other eLeaf tanks). I don't know, guys. There are too many good 30w+ devices coming out, making it hard to decide...
