I heard that eleaf is coming out with a tank called the MELO, that is supposed to be designed for their istick mods. I have been unable to find them, and when I wrote directly to eleaf, I received an email that literally said "not available". Apparently their internet provider charges them by the word! Has anyone heard anything about this as far as availability, price, etc ???

Release has been postponed til at least March, partly due to Chinese New Year, + other reasons idk about. Price is showing as $20 but i wouldn't expect to see it til March or even April (3 week vacations in China for New Year, then backlogs, etc)

Edit - Meanwhile the Delta 2 is all the rage lately, made by JoyeTech (who owns Eleaf btw) $35-$40 tho.

Melo cotton coils are interchangable w/ Atlantis, but Smoktech will soon have that also, compatible w/ Smok VC Tank ($20) & Atlantis, in several variations.

But the cotton Melo coils (from a month ago) had a much narrower inside diameter than Atlantis coils, & Melo drip tip is also very narrow bore at the bottom, but wide bore in glass part. FWIW. Seems like it may be better suited for the mouth to lung style of vaping ??

As was stated above, they aren't really in anyones hands yet but people are hopeful. If you end up checking out the Delta II, really check out video reviews of it so you can get a sense of how it whistles. It's much more annoying in person. :)

Finally got my Delta 2 last nite. I checked out just about every vid review worth watching b4 ordering it & don't recall seeing that much on whistle, which isn't bad yet while still breaking in new coil on mech at 32w & wide open air. I notice it w/air closed up partway but i always vape w/ air wide open. Will be putting it on a 50w mod later today, w/ 80% VG & air wide open. Hope it doesn't whistle too much like that. Saw your post about chamfering & looked it up, good info but i dont even Have a file thin enough to fit those skinny slots.

My Atlantis doesn't whistle at all. Wonder if it's the shape of the slots or the fact it has 2 instead of 1 that's causing whistle if air isn't wide open ?? Or both ??

What no vid review mentioned at all was that it would arrive smelling of machine oil worse than anything FT sells. I spent 5 hours cleaning & drying it. And the box it came in has the fowlest perfumy smell. I cleaned the outside of both coils & they Seem ok so far (sorta like flying off a cliff - it's ok so far.....), one smelled of machine oil, the other fowl perfume. At least the 5pk of extra coils had no smell at all, in case the 1st 2 are affected after all. I did read about this after i already ordered it, i think on the Delta 2 thread here ?

Ok, i primed the coil Real good 2-3 hours ago, let it sit 90 minutes, then 20 pulls on mech at 32w & dropping, now it's going on a little higher wattage. Ok at 35w, equaling the Atlantis for vapor at 38w, but Atlantis produces that much vapor at lower watts, that's as far as i'm going for now. Gotta properly break in this coil. Flavor isn't there yet. Not much whistle except a bit at the tail end of a puff, after i stop firing & pulling hard.

Will update more later, same bat time, maybe different bat channel (Delta 2 thread ??) :vapor:

I have been using the Melo for a while now. I can't really think of any complaints, for what it is, a subohm tank, it works well. Flavor is a tad less then my RDA's and RTA's, but that was expected, the flavor is still decent enough. Plenty of vapor, satisfying, a decent product. If I do have one complaint it is the glass drip tip it came with, not really a fan of it, easily solved with a different drip tip. Overall, I'd suggest if you are thinking about getting one, go for it.
