Thanks for the article on Canadian vaping. Odd that Canada is against e cigs right now. They have seemed to me to be a progressive country looking for solutions rather than disregard them. Do you think big tobacco buying into e cigs would be willing to invest in lab testing and scientific evidence to overturn Canadas current restrictions?

I wouldn't say Canada is against them. They're just not sold on them yet. He was quoted:
On the surface, it would appear that quitting smoking in favour of e-cigs could be a good thing, he said. But its not clear what the overall health impact would be if theyre misused, and whether e-cigs might encourage non-smokers to develop addictive nicotine habits.
The part in bold is nonsensical, agreed. But, at least they're [tacitly] acknowledging the benefits. What's fascinating to me is they ban it, knowing that it is probably better for you than smoking while keeping smoking entirely legitimate.
