Hi All - New to ECF and wanted to know what would be a better starter kit to get into vaping.

I bought a few Fantasia disposable electronic hookahs and enjoyed the clouds and flavor. After finishing those, figured it might be better off in the long run just buying a decent set up. NOT interested in sub-ohm cloud chasing, potentially dangerous stuff and probably not practical for what I'm looking for. I want something portable that I can take around with me that I can easily buy/swap parts for.

I'm confident it's possible to get nice clouds with using 'mainstream' produced parts, and I'm hoping you can guide me in the right direction.

Did some reading and think these two might be possible good starting points (open to other suggestions as well, but please fill me in on everything I would need for that setup):

Other things I will need... 1. Max VG Juice, 2. ???

Hope to hear some input and am ready to ask questions and have a discussion.

I never really got into the evod world but I do highly recommend a ego twist. They will allow you to use 3 or 4 different voltage settings, this way you arent limited to just 1 ohm setting. virtually anything can be used on a ego twist and you can adjust to the setting you prefer.

as far as the itaste, unless you are just ordering it and have something to use in the mean time. I would avoid using fasttech. I do shop there as the prices are some of the best, but wait times can vary from 2 weeks to as much as 2 months. It can be very stressful waiting on something you need to have, when using fasttech.

You can get VV ego style batteries (twist, spinner etc) to be able to adjust your voltage - I would still recommend getting the 1.8-2.0 ohm heads no matter what

I would skip ordering that VV3 from fasttech as nothing is coming from them with batteries anymore

My last (and I mean LAST) order from Fasttech (no batteries or eliquid - just a mod, atomizer heads, asst clearo's and misc toys for christmas) was middle of last month (11/18) I got a "photo" of the package but the picture was too out of focus to confirm the ship to address to see if it was actually mine, I submitted a ticket to get it tracked due to no info on the provided tracking #, 36 hours later tracking # shows as "despatched" then I get a response to my ticket I submitted - 6 days later and there is no change from the "despatched"

In short I will be surprised if I actually get this order from Fasttech and would recommend not placing any large single orders with them at all and choose the upgraded shipping if you roll the dice and order from them at all

Now I have ordered from them earlier this year (4 times) and had no issues what so ever and had all my shipments within 12-14 days with most of the transit time being in the USA so I don't know if the delays are actually with Hong Kong and Singapore post or if Fasttech is playing games for cash flow but I will probably not be ordering from them until I start hearing good news about them again

I have both kits you linked. Been using the Evod for about a month and really enjoyed it and got me off ciggs. I then ordered a Mod the MVP2 for $40 and really like that but still wanted something nice to carry around. I purchased the itaste vv 3.0 on black Friday for $19.99 and absolutely love it. I keep grabbing for it over my MVP2 just because it feels nice in my hand and vapes just as good. The only downfall compared to the MVP is the battery doesn't last anywhere near as long but does last longer then the Evod. Get the itaste vv 3.0 you will not regret it.

Do not order from FastTech right now. I have an order that was shipped on 11/25 and has been stuck at "Despatched to USA JFK" since 12/5. No updates for 4 days. Maybe it's USPS and it will arrive at my door tomorrow but I have only heard of one person getting anything from them since 11/20. Just way to long for you to wait for your main vape kit. If it was just some accessories then I would say order up and it might eventually come. If you do order from them then select Registered Airmail Singapore as shipping method because that is the only method that allows built in batteries to ship international. The others are getting rejected and sent back to FastTech.

Of the two you mentioned, I think the iTaste VV3 would be closer to hookah. Variable voltage/wattage is superior to a fixed voltage battery. You'll then be able to adjust your voltage to each individual flavor's "sweet spot".

Both the iTaste MVP and the VV3 have a really smooth vape which will be more "hookah" like than most other battery devices. Without getting too technical, their micro processor creates a straight voltage line on an oscelloscope just like a Provari or DNA20 mod, where most other VV/VW mods have a jagged voltage line. All that argueably translates into a smoother vape.

For the juice topper, the Innokin iClear 16 or Kanger Evod are good choices.

Since most hookah flavors are fruity, I recommend checking out Dripeez, who specialize in fruit flavors and you can custom order your e-liquids with more Vg (vegetable glycerin) which makes more vapor. Their Golden Apple is great alone, or add some Cinnamon or Rum flavor.

thanks for the heads up, will be sure to stray away from fasttech for now

do you know if you can you change the coils on the itaste vv?

By topper, do you mean, tank? Do you know if you can you change the coils to lower resistance on the itaste vv?

Grab the itaste vv battery and a evod. Best of both worlds. I rebuild my evod with 1.8 micro coils with a standard battery ego twist. It makes decent clouds.

Best of luck with your new purchases.

so... itaste vv battery + evod tank + 1.8 coils in the evod tank? is that right?

Hi, welcome to ECF.

The iTaste VV, EVOD tank and 1.8 ohm coils will serve you well I think. Just remember to start the voltage or wattage adjustment low and work up to the point that it is where you want it to be for flavor/vapor. If you burn the coil, you will have to replace it, clean the tank, and use fresh juice. Once the coil is burnt, the burnt flavor will contaminate any juice in the tank. As always ... YMMV!

You Tube will be your new friend. You can do a search on You Tube for each device that you are interested in. Someone will have either a review or demonstration of the device, and how to maintain other devices like the juice attachments. Most clearomizers (tanks) have replaceable coil heads which greatly prolongs the use of these tanks.

So after spending more time understanding and reading I think this will be what I need:

Itaste vv VW v3.0
Kanger mini pro tank 2
1.8ohm coils

Will that work? Am I missing anything? Now who has the best 100% VG juices?? And vendors for the hardware...

Looks good but I would pick up a few of the Evod tanks as well. They are real easy to maintain and it is always nice to have different flavors were all you need to do is swap tanks on the go. The Mini Protanks are nice but break easier then the Evod. I use the Mini for harsher liguids that require a glass tank and use the Evod for others. The Evod's are a lot cheaper too. The Mini does look pretty awesome on the silver itaste 3.0.
