So, got my first Elektra shipment today. Tried some of the root beer flavouring. It tastes like black licorice. Just that, black licorice. Not even a root beer blend with a little too much black licorice in it, I mean straight, strong black licorice. I think maybe there was either a labelling error or a bottling error, but this definitely ain't root beer.

Liking the Kranger cartos so far though. Bit stiff on the draw but they perform well and give good flavour and decent vapor.

After using the Ego\Kanger kit for a day I'm definitely happy with the hardware. The 650mah battery lasted me a full day of reasonable vaping. I'm a pretty heavy vaper, but I do put it down for a while through the day.

The cartomizers for me hold a full 1ml of juice. Since they're cheap I put some different flavors in a full 5 pack with no duds to speak of so far. I like the draw, slightly firm but not hard by any means. They do get slightly warmer than the Bloog\Volt version, but seem to be almost identical in every other way. One exception is that the Bloog\Volt versions have a paper sticker on the outside where these are just a nicely painted finish. I prefer the paint myself because it won't peel off.

Now the 24mg juice base isn't terrible or anything, but I'm not the biggest fan of this base. It has a pretty hard TH and has that peppery taste to it when plain. Interferes with the fruit flavors for me a bit, not a large amount but I can taste it. Also has no real indication on the strength other than "Approximately 24mg when mixed with flavoring" and the PG\VG ratio isn't marked or indicated anywhere on the bottle or the website.

Some of the flavorings taste ok to me so far, but they aren't close to strong enough that you're going to make 6x30ml bottles of juice out of them, more like 1-2 in my case, maybe 2-3 if you like pretty weak flavors. I tried 10% at first mix because of what's been reported in this thread previously about them being weaker. I can confirm that is correct. I ended up at 20% flavoring to get what I consider my normal, although I'm into stronger flavoring and 10-15% might work for some people just fine.

So at 20% flavoring that works for me it's pretty much a whole bottle of flavor to 30ml. At the sale price of $4 for flavor + $13 for base it's worth it to me, but I'll probably pass on the juice combo in the future when the price for both jumps up considerably.

The flavors taste wise are always subjective of course, but the Vanilla Tobacco is terrible for me. Very fake tasting and perfume like.

The Chocolate Tobacco is pretty good tasting but not very chocolate. It's more like a bitter baking chocolate added to the tobacco taste and turns out to be very close to analog like for me, not really sweet at all and quite enjoyable to me. It does have a large amount of sediment in the bottom that I'm not too fond of though, but the taste is good.

The Peach Tobacco is pretty tasty so far, but I haven't vaped it much yet. Nothing stands out as bad to me about it yet though.

The Menthol...it's a killer cold straight icy menthol. Yeah you need to add quite a high % of it like all the flavors, but it's definitely just pure menthol. I like Menthols and this is great non sweetened menthol that can be added to anything you wish.

Did you try this nic base on other catomizers and atomizers yet? I'm finding the Kangers to deliver more peppery TH from the Nic then from my usual vape utensils. Doesn't matter if I vape unflavoured RTS, Dekang.. it's all more peppery. On a unregulated non-PWM battery I'm not liking the Kangers for morning vapes and prefer a Boge or Smoktech XL 1.7 Carto. Kangers on the genuine eGo bats seems a lot smother to me and it's the only way I'll vape with them now.

I'm interested in what everyone else finds with these Kangeroos :) I'm not too big on the hotter vape and hope they come out with Kanger 2.4ish soon.

I've only vaped four flavours on the Krangers so far, all of them strong (DIY spearmint, menthol, "root beer" which is more like black licorice, and Tidewater tobacco, the last three all Elektra flavours) but I haven't noticed a peppery taste to any of them. Mind you I'm mixing with a nic base from RTS Vapes, so that might have something to do with it, but other than that I haven't noticed any kind of peppery taste from the cartos themselves. I'll have to try it with a milder flavour I'm familiar with like Oba Oba or Hypnotic Mist.

Didn't try the base on anything other than the Kangers yet, will grab a new atty soon and see how it goes.

I agree that the vape is a tad hot using 3.7v@2.0 ohms, would be nice at closer to 2.4 I would think. Definitely can't chain vape much due to the heat.

I have also found the flavors to be a bit stronger than I previously posted. They now seem better to me around 10-15% as opposed to the 20% I tried at first. I was getting a little tired of the taste from too much flavor at 20% after a while.

One other addition to this post...I've had one Kanger gunk up the coil\wick with the darker Chocolate Tobacco mix after 3 days, ended up tossing it in the cleaning bin for later.

Yeah, I figured the flavours were kind of weak. However, the "root beer" (really, black licorice) is pretty strong. I mixed at 15% (erring on the side of caution) and it's plenty strong. Haven't tried the Tidewater tobacco yet, that's next up, and I got some menthol as well.

Mix tidewater at 10% its epic

I'm going to try that next time, as I did mix some up at 15% and it does seem just a bit on the strong side. I'm still trying to figure out what the flavours are in this one though. It's really nice but either it's too complex to be able to pick out the components or there's a flavour in there I can't identify. I do taste a bit of either black licorice or anise, maybe just a hint od some kind of citrus, and not really a whole lot of tobacco. There's something in there that really does kind of bring to mind a kind of ocean theme, and I want to sat it reminds me of some kind of scented shampoo, but that makes it sound weird and unappetizing, and I rather like this one, it's growing on me. I just can't compare it to anything to get a handle on the flavour.

I'm getting similar result to RjG with my LCD eGo. 300 to 350 on average.

One thing I noticed is that if you remove the atty / carto and manage to trigger the battery while it's "naked" the counter resets itself. Nothing major but it threw me for a loop at first when I was trying to get an average drag count.

Neither of my batteries do that.
Matter of fact, 100% of the time, I unscrew mine 1/4 turn to read the LCD because I don't want the atty sizzling while I'm squinting at the LCD. Both of yours do that?

I recently mixed a batch of Ameretto flavor(20% in a 50/50 mix @ 17mg) and find that it has a bit of a lemony/salt water taste that kicks in prior to the almondy flavor.

Maybe that's your secret ingredient?

I did think I detected a very faint hit of maybe something slightly citrusy, but didn't really detect any kind of salty/umami flavour in there. But then too it's a pretty complex flavour that appears to be blended well enough that you can't really pick anything specific out of it.
