18 mg is really high for a subtank and you're actually a little above 18mg (due to the 5% missing). PG carries the flavor better than vg and you don't have much at all (just in the flavoring). Nicotine can make a juice harsh. VG will take longer to absorb the flavors and most people add more flavor when going high VG in their mixes. The juice will need stirred, shaken and steeped.

Have you used this chemistry before?
I would mix the PG&VG FIRST. Vape & adjust, then flavoring. Only when you are satisfied add the nico.
For the batch you already have, steep as suggested above. You may consider E.M. instead of water..
Forgive me as I am super new to making my own liquid, but what is E.M.?

I'm new to DIYing too. Most of the flavors I have tried definitely need to steep. Some of the flavorings I have tried are harsh if I sample them immediately after mixing, but most seem to mellow out after a few hours. The 2hr cap off trick seems to work well for anything that tastes waxy/paint-thinnery. And steeping for 24hrs has proven to be plenty to get a decent idea of how the mix will turn out. Some of the flavors will continue to mature for up to 2 weeks, so it's a good idea to put a small amount of each batch away in a cool, dark place, then revisit it. I like the high VG as well because PG irritates my throat...and I like the clouds TBH. I shoot for around 80-85% VG with 15-20% flavor.

I use EM in almost all my DIY mixes. Another thing that might help if the juice is still harsh after steeping is koolada. This gives your juice an "icy" feel and can tone down harsh juices.
