vaping ingredients have been studied a lot. None of them are new or novel but we are using them in a novel way. There is no such thing as "harmless" or "100% safe" in anything. Some qualified medical authorities in Merry Old England believe vaping is 95% safer than smoking. I minimize risks by avoiding mechanical mods, staying at moderate power with temp control, and making DIY with very little flavoring added. I'm feeling much better than when I was smoking and saving thousands of dollars a year. I'll take my chances. It's my choice and it's yours too.
Please dont misunderstand me, I am a fellow vaper and this is not an attack on vaping in anyway.. MANY vapers unfortunately not like yourself are unaware of the ingredients in their liquids.. Yes it is massively better than smoking cigarettes and personally I havent smoked a cigarette in years, but after many weeks of research Ive found there are nasty cheap chemicals in MANY large brand companys, merely because they focus on high profits and low expenses.. Many of which i have spoken directly to and gained very interesting responses that I will post here later today, once I have removed any personal information and Company details to stay within the rules of this forum.. I am not 'slating' vaping at all, just trying to get vapers aware of what they vape every day..
I would be extremely careful of what's posted. Much of the information that you can search for on the Internet is false or misrepresented to further the agenda of those who are against vaping. Unless the studies you're going to quote are peer reviewed and validated, it's going to be treated as "junk science".
I have spoken directly to many companys and creators of eliquids, I will not post their identities merely their replys, people can make up their own minds. None of the information I will present will have come from 'the internet' nor will it contain any personal information or company names...
I hope this leads to facts and not just speculation about adding nasty cheap chemicals and their danger.
Considering most companies will flat out refuse to disclose the exact ingredient list/recipe except in general terms to meet labeling requirements, I'm curious to see what "evidence" the OP is going to bring to the table.
I fail to see why any company would pay extra to put nasty ingredients in liquid on purpose.
Both PG and VG USP are really really quite inexpensive already with the quantities they buy it in and if the juice maker is going to tell anyone about the nasty flavouring they use and expect to stay in business it seems pretty suspect. Why cut their own throats? So to speak. Makes zero sense. imo.
Are there less than reputable businesses out there making juice? Maybe.
Are they gonna tell us how nasty they are?? haha, yeah right.

There has been vaping for 8+ years. 10s of millions of people are doing it around the world. For better or worse that's a huge experiment. Where are the reports of doctors treating illnesses caused by vaping? In the absense of any evidence of actual harm the people who depend on tobacco taxes for their funding just flat out lie. If there were no excise taxes on tobacc everybody would love vaping and the inventor would get the Nobel prize in medicine.
Have you talked to BT? I would expect them to whip up a real Witches Brew, once they wrest control of vaping..
When it comes to life pretty much anything in excess is harmful, I mix my own juice so I know exactly what goes into mine and to my knowledge none of it is harmful...
Too much air you can pass out, knock your head on something and die...
Too much water messes with your kidneys resulting in hyponatremia
Too much sugar, you get diabetes
Too much red meat, colon cancer
Now take all those things and use them in moderation and they are perfectly fine...
Now lets talk about the science, a 2015 invitro study compared vapor to cigarette smoke on lung cells, it was wildly misinterpreted by the media because they don't understand that vaping is a harm reduction strategy, it reduces the harm associated with nicotine use, for us the results of the study are actually very important..
I'd like to remind you this is a invitro test where they took cells, put them in a petri dish and exposed them.. The cells exposed to cigarette smoke died in under 24 hours, the cells exposed to vapor, and I don't mean a bit of vapor, a constant stream 24 hours a day.... They took 8 weeks to die, until this test is done invivo (live subject)we won't know but there's a possibility that the cells may even be repaired before they die, either way there was still a massive decrease to the harm associated with nicotine consumption over smoking...

Scientists have not really found anything dangerous about the mild nootropics nicotine and caffeine.
What is funny is that nootropics are typically purchased for their stimulant effect on the brain, and are sold all over the place as ADHD and narcoleptic drugs. Big pharma controls the nootropic market, so they do not want legalized liquid nicotine floating around when they have cigarettes on the rope, and NRT available. Probably, they are scratching their heads thinking they should have come out with a "Stim-Patch" containing nicotine 20 years ago! Their marketing depts failed!!!

As far as I know, no one has proven any harm from any ingredients in any vapor products.
What exactly is a "nasty cheap chemical"? Are they worse than nasty expensive chemicals? Are good cheap chemicals okay? What specific chemicals are you referring to and what specific harm do they cause in this application?

I'll never vape anything from big tobacco. My Marlboros were
nasty. Tons of chemicals, like ammonia and worse! I never gagged so much in my life. It's funny when I look back b/c even though I would struggle to breathe in the mornings, I still went hard for that first cigarette. Talk about addiction!Anyone preventing vaping and getting in the way of 99% of the vaping companies that are putting out good products should have their head examined.
I quit smoking b/c I have a bicuspid aortic heart valve with stenosis. In the future I'll need a heart valve. My DRs could not be happier that I vape, and I've broken out my vaping supplies in their offices and VAPED right in front of them!!! These are DRs and nurses at a major hospital here in Chicago - with me vaping in their offices on hospital grounds.
You may have an axe to grind, but this is not the place for it. I'll never surrender. I'm going to vape until I want to quit and not a second less.

Welcome and glad you joined. No medical substantiated authority, to date, has rigorously scientifically proven that vaping (on the whole) is harmful to the public that I know of.
