Ok, so I have a new X2 battery and clearomizer showing up on Monday. I have been vaping SI Classic grape for a few weeks. I would like to order a sampler pack of different flavors. Since SI doesn't offer offer smaller bottles, who would you guys suggest? I would like to try a variety of flavors and have a reasonable price.
Also, I have heard really good things about Boba's bounty from AVE, but you are not supposed to use 100%vg in the clearomizer. Is there any way to thin it out to a safe constancy?

There's discussion going on in the Clearomizer thread about some liquids cracking them. I would check and make sure that whatever you get doesn't have Triacetin in it, or maybe try to avoid the ones on this list.
I'm hearing of a lot of people using 100%VG in these things. Don't know what you have to do to it though, but I'm sure someone else will...

Backwoods Brew - 70/30 mix, fantastic flavors. My mind is being blown by Strawberry and Applewood right now, with the Traditional Menthol tasting EXACTLY like good tobacco and a menthol finish (Without the strong mint).

The Vapor Room - You should get a 75/25 mix (Liquids with more than 40% VG don't work that great with 3.6 volts, miss out on a lot of flavor), and other than that I can say they have all around great flavors. Everything they have just has that quality about it. Depending on what flavors you like, they could be awesome for you!

Blue Mist vaping - Not the best e-liquids on the market, but pretty damn cheap with tons of flavors.

I've been looking in to these ones but haven't bought anything yet so far...

ECBlends - Dragon's Blood is supposed to be amazing! Offers TONS of customization. Also very cheap. Can get small 5ml bottles for 2 dollars with discount codes.

Vapor 4 Life - Very expensive, but when a sale comes along you can get pre-filled cartomizers and test their flavors.

Good luck!

Also, be sure to check the coupon code list somewhere on ECF. It gives you all of the coupon codes you could hope for, and you can save anywhere from 20-40% depending on the business.

just put in an order at Mrs. T's Bakery

American made juices from the east coast, amazing choice of liquids if you are yearning for something unique and have a sweet tooth. Sounds like it can take a couple of weeks to receive an order, but Mrs. T is the only technician and she does each order bottle from scratch...nothing comes off the shelf for your order. Juices are a PG/VG mix and and can be ordered 6ml ($5), 10ml ($8.00), 15ml ($11.50), 2x 15ml ($21.00), 30ml ($20.75). Some of her juices require some steep time for full flavor. She appears to have a very loyal fanbase. Here's a recently updated list of her top 20 most popular flavors according to units sold:

1 Snickerdoodle Cookies
2 Vanilla Custard
3 New Watermelon
4 Banana Fosters Coffee
5 NEW Strawberry Lemonade
6 Red Hot Cinnamon Candy
7 Orange Dreamsicle
8 Sugar Cookies
9 Cinnamon Roll
10 Strawberry Shortcake
11 Tangerine
12 French Vanilla
13 Gourmet Vanilla
14 Cake Batter
15 French Vanilla Cappuccino
16 Peanut Butter Cookies
17 Menthol
18 BluRaspberry
19 Strawberry
20 St Louis Gooey Butter Cake

I ordered the following in 6ml trial sizes. I also made an order for 4 more X2 Clearomizers for my go-to 1300, and a blank set of Volt cartos from Smokeless Image:

Amaretto Coffee
Banana Fosters Coffee
Kahlua and Cream
Mango
Tangerine
Orange Dreamsicle
NEW Strawberry Lemonade
Cherry Cola Slushy
Peanut Butter Cookies
Unflavored
Ms T's Sweetener

I'd stay away from the Vapor 4 Life cartos - they don't play nice with SI batteries. They use a different style carto (no horizontal coil). At least that's how it was last year when I switched to this better design. Maybe they've changed since then but I don't think so. However, their juices are fine if you want that instead - good selection of flavors too.

To the OP: I know you want juice for your clearo, but if you want a cheap way of figuring out which flavor, you may want to just get the 5 flavor sampler cartos first and decide for yourself what you like. If you ask 50 people you'll get 45 different answers about what you should try.

+1 for EC Blends. I haven't been disappointed with anything I have ordered from them.

+2

I didn't like their 555, so I stick with SI for the 555. Same with watermelon, SI's is good for the go. And SI RY4.

However, you can get ECBlendflavors.com 5ml "sample" size bottles for about $2.50, depending on whether you customize. Then use their code 10020 at checkout for 20% off liquids. I have several flavors I've been trying. My own mixes are my favorites. As for use in clearomizers, well, I've only used one, my Winter Vanilla, and it worked fine. However, since cartos also work with the X2, I'm more inclined to use them as I like to change up my flavors more often than the clearomizer would allow.

I'm weird, I know. :)

Not weird at all. I would have liked to use the clearo if I could put 10 drops in to try a flavor, but it is happier with a full load. So whatever I put in there I better be darn sure I like it. I suppose to could make one of those do-it-yourself atomizers by pulling the filler out of a carto, then that could be used for sampling. Of to my mad scientist lab!

I like them too. Stay away from anything with White Chocolate though. Something about that flavor just burns too hot and doesn't play nice with our Volt stuff. I think Jason actually took it off the list to investigate when I asked him about it. Nice folks too! :)

I'm going to put my vote in The Vapor Room. You get a free 15mL bottle of juice with your first order and you can use the code "thankyou" to get 10% off. They have two sample packs you can choose from; 10 3mL bottles for $25 or 5 6mL bottles for $20. They also have flavors of the week that are always on sale that are $10 for 30mL. They've got great prices and I really like their juice.

My favorites are Graham Cracker, Toasted Almond and Waffle. You can get whatever PG/VG ratio you want. I use 50/50 and it seems to work great in my clearomizers. Good luck with your juice hunt!

I've used 100% VG without a problem. If it's really, really thick and you get dry hits you might need to add a couple drops of distilled water or vodka to thin it out so it'll wick properly.

As far as juices go, no one can really answer that question because it's completely subjective. You really just have to try a bunch until you find out what you like.

Some places have great reputations for certain types of juices though.
Mrs Ts is well known for "savory dessert" type flavors. They're not my thing but I still heartily recommend them to anyone who likes those kinds of flavors as Mrs T's is easily the best at those kinds of flavors. I'd suggest you try Smickerdoodle or Sugar cookie, chocolate brownie, and a drink flavor like tropical punch or lemon lime cooler. They'll give you an idea if you'll like any of her flavors or not.
Pink Spot is great for cocktail and drink type flavors. Their Orange is my go to all day vape (it tastes just like Sunkist Orange Soda. Yumm!).
And keep an eye out for NAmber juice which is going retail next month. It's by GrimmGreen and The Vape Babe (Nick and Amber) so quality will be top notch. I'd expect to see lots of sold out notices for awhile though as there's lots of people looking forward to their juice.

Besides those, I'd just check the vendor forums here, find the ones that offer small bottles or sample packs, and pick a few flavors that you're fairly sure you should like (and be sure to always Google for coupons). Once you have a decent idea of what kind of flavors you like, look for reviewers who like the same juices you do to get more recommendations from them.

Dark City Vapors also has some pretty good flavors - their Extreme Mint is pretty much a kick-in-your-face-mint. Very refreshing but it can be a bit overpowering. (Disclaimer: you really really have to like mint for this one to work for you).

Backwoods Brew's specialty are probably their tobacco flavors. Not a big fan of the Casablanca, but their Honey Flue Cured is very nice - sweet honey inhale, slight, soft tobacco on the exhale. Their Applewood is very nice as well, but their Vanilla Bean after two weeks of steeping is superb.

All of these are at a 70/30 mix. I haven't broken into my ECBlends stash yet - letting that steep a bit, but the smells from the bottles are wonderful.

Another vendor I like that I didn't mention is Juicy Vapor. They have an overwhelming amount of flavors to try (I think they're up to around 900 right now). Like many, I've become addicted to Ecto Plasma. I just ordered a 70ml bottle and a dozen small bottles of some other interesting sounding flavors. Like the other ones I mentioned earlier, they're on the pricey side (pbusardo has a great chart of juice prices from various vendors BTW) but totally worth it.

Although, I haven't (Yet!) tried EC Blend, NiteLiteVapor, Vape-A-Licious, Joogler Juice or Kick Bass Vapor which all seem to be well recommended are are on the other end of the chart. They're the last ones on my list still to try (other than NAmber).

I suppose to could make one of those do-it-yourself atomizers by pulling the filler out of a carto, then that could be used for sampling.

I have a blank carto I use just for testing. I just drip a couple drops of juice in the battery end, lay it on it's side for 30 seconds or so. Then puff on it until I taste burning. It's not the most fantastic way to do it. But it works well enough and I've only had a few really strong juices that kept the next flavor from tasting right.
If I hit a juice like that, I have one of these Amazon.com: Ezy Dose Oral Syringes with Dosage Korcs - 1 Tsp: Health & Personal Care that I bought at Walmart for $2. The little rubber thing they come with has an opening that a Carto fits snugly into and I just pull water through it to clean it out then pump air through it to help dry it. Let it set overnight and it's ready for more testing.

+1 on The Vapor Room. I've tried a number of their flavors after a local shop turned me on to their USA Reds flavor. I can't speak highly enough for Peanut Butter Cookie. I seriously will panic when my 30ml runs out! Their RY4 is pretty good (but I'm still looking for the "perfect" one for me), and out of the 8 flavor's I've tried I haven't found one I didn't like. I prefer sweet flavors, looking for my "perfect" cherry flavor (SI comes really close and remains my "Go To" cherry, even above my own DIY ) and experimenting with tobacco flavors.

They give you lots of options for your juice mix. I would recommend at MAX 50%PG/50%VG for using with SI Carto's though, this is JUST barely thin enough to wick well with them. Also, I like my flavors ***STRONG*** and considered doing double flavor shot, but decided to start with a single flavor shot. I'm glad I did as the single flavor shot makes it very strong and I am very happy with it (their website explains standard vs single shot vs double shot if I don't make much sense here). Taste is subjective :p

Let us know what you try and what you think! I'm always looking for new flavors/vendors to try

P.S. Forgot to mention, 50%PG/50%VG gives out massive clouds, but lacks a bit in the throat hit department. My next order will be 75%PG/25%VG

I might go back to 75/25 on my next order as well. I've stepped down to 6mg and hopefully that'll help get some of the ol' throat hit back. I also find that more VG tends to change the flavor somehow... maybe more sweet?

Yeah, VG by nature is slightly sweet in high amounts. A couple of mixers I've talked to up the VG when you have a harsh/strong flavor (coffee for example) to sweeten it and mute the harshness/strength. Unfortunately it also mutes throat hit, and I need me throat hit!
