just made myself an elites usb passthrough . not too difficult although the positive lead is very thin and if it breaks would be nearly impossible to replace. now produces a decent amount of vapour at 1 amp and 5 volts. i do have another one at 1.5 amps and 5 volts but it seems to scorch the juice a bit and almost too much vapour. any way way better than a standard elites and at least its better than tossing the elites. to be honest i do not see how anybody could quit smoking using one of these things. just not enough vapour. loads at 5 volts though.

Thats some dedication to get a useless product some what usable. I think most people would be better off binning them though.

be difficult and easy to screw it up. the wires inside are very thin and could break off so a steady hand and care are needed. still the end product is pretty good. the cartomizer which i turned into a dripping atomiser has been going for over three weeks now and is as good as new. i do use unfavoured juice though and never clean my atomisers. not necessary if you use unfavoured. just thought i would share this.

still using my elites usb pass thru and working very well . seem to get a much better throat hit off it if i only put 2 drops of liquid in at a time. still got one battery and the charger for when i go out for a couple of hours . only 6.99 for a new battery and a cartomizer which is not bad.

I can't help but think that £10.63 including shipping for a 1100mAh ego battery, usb charger and phoenix rebuildable atty clone is better value though.
Granted you will need some kanthal and wick but I think after purchasing those then you will more than break even before the supplies run out.
You can save 20p or so if you drop down to a 650mAh battery.

yes there are cheaper options and better ones but having purchased an elites setup i wanted to see if i could make a half decent system out of it and i did. a lot of people must of spent a fair bit on these devices to find they are crap and then think all e cigs are the same. what a shame.

Especially when folks find the elite cartomisers aren't anywhere near the equivalent of 40 real cigs yes it is a shame more like about 10 cigarettes worth and that's probably pushing it and silk cut ultra low as well. i think maybe someone will bring out a super strong cigalike that runs off a five volt battery but then they would not be able to make their ludicrous claims as to performance but at least it might work.
