Eluma Cig. Questions.

I have recently ordered my first e cig,I got the simple starter pack from elumacigs. I have been searching all over the internet to find out anything I can. I am wondering about the quality and life of "elumacigs" and cannot seem to find anything about them. the main reason I chose this manufacturer was due to price. $29.99 for 1 battery, 1 atomizer, 10 carts, and a usb charger. Any way, I digress. I would appreciate some feed back.

Sorry.... I checked the website ..but can't tell what (model) their e-cigs are.
I've not heard of them before (but that doesn't mean too much either).

I've introduced a couple-dozen or so folks to 'vaping' since I started. There's a pretty strong feeling around here that the Joye510 e-cigs are a great first PV to start with. -- It's the model that I've ordered (several times)..just in order to pass them out to all my family & friends. - FWIW: [I can easily recommend the J510 kit from cignot-dot-com. 2 complet e-cigs w/charger & carts for $40 (delivered!).

Someone will most likely be along in a just a couple minutes to speak up about ElumaCigs.

Looks a whole lot like the Blu e-cig which is a L88B i think. Never tried the Blu and would not buy one after all the bad things i heard about them. At least you'll learn the in and outs of vaping for a modest price even if this vaporizer turns out to be mediocre. I will also advice you to invest in a Joye510 kit.

I don't know what model it is either (sorry!), but I can tell you it's not an L88b (same model as a Blu/Volcano), because it's bigger. Everything... the e-cig, accessories, cartridge boxes, and even the website certainly resemble Blu's... but according to the FAQ, it's 110mm long (and around 9.2mm wide)... the Blu/L88b is 88mm x 8.5mm. It's even a little bigger than the Sidesho (JSB108). Maybe it's an M4xx model? or RN4081? I'm not so familiar with those.

I have seen the website before, but haven't heard any feedback on the forum about them.

Well, apparently no one on ECF has been able to provide feedback on Eluma, so it would appear to be a crapshoot vs. the 510, which you can get volumes of feedback on here.

As far as "needing 2", no you don't need two... but personally, I would always recommend two batteries for anyone buying a starter kit. It's just really convenient to always have a working battery while one is charging (I only vape zero nic - so I'm never in need of a nicotine fix - and I still like to always have a working battery available, especially when I'm out for the evening). The other thing is, it is not all that uncommon for people to receive a bad battery (or have one die on them right after getting it), and while the company might be very good about replacing it immediately (or having good shipping times), if you have two to start with, you're covered... which obviously applies if you lose or break one, as well.

The other thing to consider here... and perhaps the most important... is you are focusing on the upfront costs of the hardware... when the real expenses kick in once you start buying the software (the cartridges and juice). Now, I see that Eluma (like Blu) forces you to buy a "carton" (5 packs of cartridges) at a time. Since no one here has yet been able to decipher what model e-cig the Eluma is, you will be unable to buy compatible cartridges elsewhere until you do... so you are going to be tied to buying their cartridges at their prices.

I would just consider these factors before making your purchase.

The girls @ cignot are top notch all the way. Eye-blink response time. You can't go wrong buying from them, period.

I see in your above post that one of the claims the other site makes is that a cart = 1 pk of analogs. Utter, complete crap. This is one of the most common misconceptions. A full 510 cart is ABOUT 7-10 cigs. ymmv. I understand some of the carts for the 2pc cigs come a little closer at ABOUT 10-15 analogs. ymmv ( I only have the 510, so maybe a 2pc PV user will chime in here)

Bear that in mind as well. I was glad I did loads of research b4 making my purchase because I wasn't disappointed when I found that claim to be false.

If you like being able to choose other flavors, as well as the idea of possibly buying a PCC (Personal Charger Case), you might want to check out Volcano as well: Volcano Fine Electronic Cigarette...home of the best eCig

I have a Volcano and like it a lot... but I will tell you that the vapor production can be spotty (this one is the same model as Blu)... so if you don't like fiddling with the little carts and such, or you're a heavy smoker... it's probably not right for you. But, like Blu, the PCC is great and carries a fully assembled e-cig (which I find to be a major convenience; I couldn't find anywhere on the Eluma site, whether their PCC does that, so my guess is not... and I believe the 510 PCC's don't either (but could be wrong))... let's put it this way, my Vapor King (KR808D-1) outperforms it in every way, but my Volcano is still the e-cig I grab when I go out the door. Also, the cartridges are a lot cheaper, and unlike with Eluma and Blu, you are not restricted to a carton at a time.

Anyway, just another alternative.

Well, I just got my 510 from the girls at CigNot and I'm very impressed with everything. 2 days from Chicago to Long Island.. and... hey.. everything I wanted is in there.

These ARE electronic "Cigarettes" - it would only make sense that most would come with a tobacco flavor in the starter kit. It's only a starter-kit after-all.. That being said, you are dealing with people here.. maybe if you e-mailed a vendor or two and told them your concerns they could throw in a sample of something other than tobacco flavor for free or customize a starter kit for you? You never know.. diplomacy does work!! If I can talk my way out of 69-in-a-30 speeding tickets... anything is possible.


As for opinions on Eluma -- I looked at their site a while ago and it just seems like an infomercial type device to me. You know "AS SEEN ON TV" or something. I don't like the site, and believe me, when a website is done up really well and no one's heard of the product.. well.. that makes me apprehensive.


Now.. I've been told many times in my life that I am NOT NORMAL and that I am CRAZY. Some people have even called me NUTS. lol so...... if you disagree with me or think I'm one of those 3.. (well, being "normal" is boring anyway) -- thats fine

I am new to e-cigs I bought an Eluma complete kit a month ago. I can't share a comparison as this is my first. I had a difficult time at first, simply learning how to smoke it without sucking in fluid. I think I have it down now. (not to overfill and to keep batteries charged,) and I blow out the atomizer each time I refill or top off cartridge. No more Porblems.. E-cigarette-forum information has helped a lot. I refill and top off the cartridges with ejuice that I purchase from ecigexpress.com and have tried several flavors. Refilling the same cartridges I recieved with my initial order. All works fine and produces tons of vapor if I keep cartridges at least half full ( extra large cartridges carpared to other models ) and Don't run down the battery to far.. A charge lasts me 8 hours or more of average smoking. No burnt aftertaste if I keep cartidges topped off after 30 or so hits. Have recommended Eluma to friends and they all are happy with it. As I say, Eluma is the only cig I have used. Even so, I am pleased with it and have no desire to experiment with others right now. "Saving Big Bucks" and even more refilling the cartridges. I own an Eluma. I bought the kit with the charging pack. Overall I've been pleased with my purchase, however the atomizer they sent with the kit had issues and started to crap out after only 2 weeks of moderate use despite being cared for per the company's instructions. That being said, they *did* provide me with a coupon code for the cost of a new atomizer but it took a little goading and the customer service representative could have been more tactful. (Like actually reading the first email I sent when I detailed how I took care of the eluma and the fact that the atomizer was still dying - their reply was instructions on how to clean it. Huh? When I pressed my case they basically said that either the atomizer works or it doesn't, but as a one time "courtesy" they would cover the cost of a new one.)

If you want a similar package, Volcano ecigs offers all the same features plus forums where they actively encourage moding the device, and their customer service seems a little less... braindead.

All that being said, I like my eluma. It does what I need it to do - keep me all nicotine'd up for my night shifts. I found it to be a good introduction to esmoking.

Again, I have an ELUMA...it sat in a drawer for over 2 months, picked it up and it vaped like a champ. I did a vid straight out of my drawer and the plumes were fabulous for being tossed aside and ignored. Awsome piece of construction, every collector should own one. If I knew how to start a thread I would happily post it.

What it does is get people looking for a real electronic cigarette a few days after they tire of the toy they wasted their money on.

I bought one of these. I don't even consider it my first e-cig since I never got any more from it than I would have had I been sucking on a straw. To be fair, I might not have been drawing on it right, but it still seems like I should have had *some* indication that it wasn't a straw.

ETA: On the bright side, I only lost $30 instead of the what some people have lost buying e-cigs at the mall, so I consider myself lucky.

I have eluma. You did not make a bad purchase. The cartridges have a nice flavor.
It is my husbands favorite PV. I did find it very useful to periodically "redip" the filler into
cartridge to keep it vaping longer. I personally felt the drag was a little hard, so I switched to a M401.

My husband has no problem with it, but I burned through 2 batteries and two atomizers in 3 weeks, obviously not the right fit for my stlyle...as far as I can tell it is a super 510..a 510 with the larger atomizer. I am not sure about this,just what I pick up from item descriptions on other web sites i shop on. The cart lasts for about .5-.75 of a pack
of tobacco as far as I could guess.

customer service is ok-Ihave recommended the "brand" to others starting out.
I have only been doing this for two months-my first post-also first time i felt I had anything to contribute.
