I received this atomizer (1.8 - 2.0 Ohm) today. I filled it with a Vanilla sample. However, even after puffing for 20 times, it still tastes like s....! I tried different voltages between 3.0 and 3.7. I filled a carto with the same flavor for comparison and I can taste the flavor (although I don't like the flavor itself).

What is it that I'm doing wrong here, in order to get the proper flavor? Or is it the wrong e juice (60/40) for this atty?

Welcome , and first off , you say you filled it ?? It's a dripping atty . Maybe 8 to 10 drops , max . secondly , you don't mention what device your using it on . What are your voltage limitations ??? If you can go a bit higher , it might taste better , and provide more vapor . But even with that , it may still taste like crap , to you . Someone else might like it , when you hate it . Taste is very subjective , with most people . My wife seems to like most of the juices , I make DIY , but that is probably rare , or she's too polite , to say anything .

The device is a Apollo eGo-vv (3.0 - 6.0 V).

I'm getting a more metal, machine oil flavor, rather than ANY flavor of the liquid. I actually used dish washing detergent twice, rinsing in real well for several times.

I think, I'll let it soak in water with dish washing detergent over night and rinse it well after that.

KABONK,
What did you do for cleaning?

Did u get the tank or the dripper? Did u use the coil/wick that came with it?
I have the dripper, and I didn't use the coil/wick that came with it, have had no issues with flavor at all, as long as the coil is set up proper.

I got the atty as shown in my previous post. And, yes, I'm using the coil/wick that came with it. I'm too new to this, in order to do my own coils and wicks. However, I'm picking up things real quick, just like fixing my RC helicopters. Well, I have to correct myself. The only thing I haven't picked up that quick, is flying those helicopters. Obviously

Dude the RC heli analogy is good, I fly as well and that is indeed what it reminds me of too!

Yeah, just another hobby, that also requires some skills :)

What do you fly? I have a Nano, 130x and a 450 3D. Hopefully saving some money for a T-Rex 450 Pro without gyro, since I'm thinking of the AR7200BX as receiver/gyro. BTW, are you on www.helifreaks.com? I'm using the same User Id.

After looking at a picture of this atty, it could be that once you put the top cap on it is pushing your coil into contact with another metal surface.

That could be a reason for it. When I took it disassembled it, I took a look at where the coil was situated. It was touching the bottom metal part. I think that's a design flaw of this device. I pulled the coil up a bit and gave it another try as mentioned previously. However, it still tasted funny.
I like the A7 mini a lot. It doesn't have that design flaw.
