Hey Esoterica3... those are some amazing photos - really great . I gotta admit that I like the "unenhanced" more, they're so good they need any treatment. Beautiful area... I've had plans to visit the area, but have only been further north (GC) - thanks for the shots!

Gotta admit I just like playing around with them sometimes...plus the originals were a bit dull to me. I think you get a bit immune to a place that you live in, no matter how gorgeous. I remember when I first came out this way I was just floored (I'm from NY).

But it is a great place to vacation, If you come, try to come in the spring or fall when it's a bit cooler

I'm guilty of playing with photos too - I've tried mostly unsuccessfully I know reproducing HDR is tempting to do in PS but there's a fine line between enhancing and improving (the line I have yet to find personally). I misspoke when I said I had only been north of Sedona... I've been from Phoenix to Tucson and the GC, just never one of the prettiest parts apparently (Sedona to Prescott). Ugh, I know the heat and it can be oppressive so, yes, spring and fall would be ideal. Yes, one does tend to take for granted their immediate surroundings - I moved here from the Bay Area (CA), and only afterwards visited and appreciated all that I missed out on seeing the first go around... c'est la vie. I'm no pro, but the photos you take indicate a keen eye for natural beauty... much respect

Thank you all for playing along but despite my best efforts, the winter storm Vulcan got to us a little bit. Some areas got a lot (lot) more snow then we did so I am sorry to those who are dealing with 2-3 feet of the stuff right now. I will work on getting the winners their codes today.
