Endmill marks inside of REO mini?

I was looking at my REO mini today and noticed spiral lines showing through the anodized finish on the inside. I assume this is from the endmill that hallowed out the body. Is this normal or do i have a one of a kind?

This is not a gripe. It's on the inside, so no one would ever see it but me. Just wondering if it is normal, or do i have a collectors edition?

Actually I found out that different patterns are made when Rob sent them to different machine shops. How old is your mini?

No...I would say its probably normal. Did you know that the very first run of minis had milling marks on the outside as well? Its not bad, and actually offers texture for grip. But the later models do look much better without them.

It's hard to see....but the two on the left were from that first run. The one on the right was from the next batch where he had done some polished.

My mini is brand spanking new. I have owned it for just over two weeks.

Yep the big swirls in the new ones are from a drill bit removing material from a block of sold aluminum.

My two older mini's have those marks inside- my newest one doesn't.

Ditto - my old one from the first run has the marks on the inside and out, but not my newer ones. The old one is still my favorite.

I have 7 Grands and 6 Mini's. All of them have mill marks inside. Alice did a post a few times about the differences in the mill marks from the different shops Robert used. There are different patterns with different runs.
