I really like the T22, but the juice I am using is occasionally really harsh - salt nics from mr salt-e at 4.5% nic. I purchased that juice because I started out using the Juul which is 5%. The Juul juice is really smooth. The salt-e, not so much,

What strength of nicotine work for you folks? I am not asking about flavors.

I realize cause of some posts by others that the wattage may be part of the problem.

I try for a target of 15mg (+) a bit...18mg really gets me nic'ed up way too much...I'd guess I'm on my way down to 12mg sooner than later...I set my iSticks & An Aspire Zelos Mod at 11.5 watts...I'm not a very heavy hitter either...I use between 3-4ml per day...Trig...EDIT v2 Sorry: Tanks T18/T22/TopTank Mini

EDIT: Not sure if you've read through this Thread...Maybe something helpful...
Anyone using nic salts for diy?

Just a question here. Is your mouth completely covering the tip when you vape? I find if you let a little air in it starts to vape hotter. I know it is counter intuitive but once I started that practice I get much less heat. As a newbie, I may be out to sea on this but works for me. I am currently doing 12mg.

What flavor juice are you using? You shouldn't get an incredibly harsh throat hit from nic salts, they're really easier on the throat. Have you tried them in any other device? It could be the hotter vape that's causing the sensation of harshness, or if you have menthol in there, that could add to the throat hit. VG/PG ratio?

It may well be just it's too high in wattage at the fixed wattage you are at, that device is FAR more powerful than a juul pod for sure, which has a pretty high ohm coil and quite low wattage. That may be your issue more than anything, if you are using the juul for comparison purposes. You may need to reduce the amount of nic salts you could try cutting it with some PG or VG to see if lower nic helps before giving up on your device. 4.5% is not exactly low, in any device, really....

Best of luck,

Anna
