Hello, all.

I'm an adult who recently decided to go back to school.

Back in '98, I was a freshman at Chatt State with a liberal arts major that would eventually roll into a primary education program at a university. I took a semester off and it turned into 12 years. But I'm back in black, baby.

Of course, I have several papers in my ENG 101 class. These are all old territories and I have no fear of not acing the class. But now that I'm older, and I have new interests, I would like to do two papers on vaping. The first would be a How-To Paper. Conferring with much younger students (which was humbling), they told me I could literally write a paper on how to make toast. I could write about anything. And even though I know for a fact that NO ONE in my English class will know what I'm talking about, I want to write a How To on how to properly prime and fill a carto tank.

Another paper will be a Persuasion Essay. I intend to "persuade" smokers into trying electronic cigarettes. I have the testimonial down, I just need links to academically-"approved" sites that give accurate and verifiable information. I will be going over the history of e-cigs, the basic components of e-cigs, and the success rate of e-cigs over FDA-approved methods such as pills, gum, and the patch. I will also address quitting vs. substituting for a healthier alternative.

My google fu is good, but I'm not too proud to admit there are many, many, MANY others out there wiser and more educated than me. If anyone can share academically-approved websites (no vendor websites, sorry) that offer verifiable information, that would be AWESOME.

The paper is not yet due, but I plan on sharing any outlines, rough drafts, etc., for constructive criticism on the ECF. But if anyone can share any links now, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Casaa has some pretty good info.

I did a comparative essay in my comp 1 class and basically educated the entire classroom and the professor on the subject of electronic cigarettes and their many forms.

Aced it. :D

ETA: I was allowed to vape openly in the classroom for the rest of the semester. Not bad for a first essay

This is my post summarizing the EPA's findings to justify the renewal of approval for propylene glycol: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../367917-safety-inhaling-propylene-glycol.html

There's a link to the EPA paper at the bottom. It states 5 different times, "there are no endpoints of concern for oral, dermal, or inhalation exposure."

Congratulations on heading back to school! And best of luck. Feel free to PM me if there's any way that I can help with your papers or classes.
