Hey guys,
I just picked up the Aspire Triton today. It's gotten good reviews, and I love the top fill design. Before I settled on this system, I was torn between it and the Silo Beast. Personally, I love Beyond Vapes far more than Aspire. The original Silo has much more airflow than the Nautilus, which I like. But the huge difference in price got me to pick up the Triton. I got it for $29 shipped, where the Silo Beast would have been $40 before shipping.

I like to do mouth-lung inhales when I am not sub-ohming. and I was considering having this tank replace my Nautilus, and using the 1.8 ohm coils.

The very first thing I noticed is that the draw on this tank is VERY tight. I'd say it's more airy than my nautilus, but not as airy to my Silo, both of which I use 1.6 ohm coils in. I assume that is because of the coil not being open, and the holes at the base being smaller, but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Before you ask, yes I have opened the drip tip airflow, which give me the flow I like, but I don't really like the feel of the vape that way.

If anyone has experience with both the Silo Beast and the Triton, do you have any input on whether you like one or the other better?

I haven't used a Silo, but I do have a couple Tritons, and I can't imagine a more airy tank. I feel the need to completely shut down the drip tip, and halfway shut down the bottom to feel like there is some resistance there at all... maybe you got a bad coil? I've had some Nautilus coils that I couldn't pull a drag through, but so far I haven't had that problem with an Atlantis/Triton coil.

I meant to respond to this earlier. I don't know why, but I think that coil just needed to break in. After a few days it started to open right up. Now I actually close the main airflow to less than half way.
The real issue I'm having with the tank is that it leaks constantly through the drip tip slots. I'm not really losing any juice, and it doesn't form a puddle. But if the tank sits on its side for more than 5 minutes, the slots fill with juice, and if I rub my fingers against them, I get it everywhere

Glad you figured it out.... I have never had any problems with the Triton. It is one of the better tanks I have.... I have read what others say about it leaking and I have had zero problems with leaks even with it laying on it's side for extended periods of time. I just barely tighten any of the parts of the tank and maybe this is the reason why. The Triton performs as well as my Arctic (which also doesn't leak).. Oh sure, there are probably better tanks out there but I certainly love my Triton.

That drip tip leakage may be the residual juice that gets left there from the filling process.... Sometimes not all the juice goes down the hole when you squeeze the dropper,or it's overfull when you turn the top to close off the fill holes.

That's what I was thinking at first. But I started to stick a Q-tip or tissue in the well to soak up any excess juice, and it still does it. When I inspected further, I noticed that even when the fill holes are closed off it juice still seeps out of the tank into the well.
As a result of my being thoroughly dissatisfied with it, I picked up a Silo Beast. I found it on Ecig.com for $22 instead of $40 from Beyond Vapes. While it leaked out of the air holes at first, I find it a much more enjoyable vape.
I guess I'm just picky, since I started with the Atlantis V1, and then got a Subtank Mini, neither of which leak at all. But I really like the top fill ability of both the new tanks. So far, I'm just not overly impressed with either.
