You must do some serious night-time skulking :) I find myself going several weeks without needing a flashlight :)

It started with being fed up of putting up a tent in the dark. With my cousin and a friend of his, we liked to walk the trails in the dark. Every year, we discovered more powerful lights with more options, sot It became a chronic form of shinyitis, which spread to lighting the entire forest just for fun. I also use a flashlight almost everyday so I don't have to turn lights on and off to find my way to bed without breaking my toes. I'm was a flashaholic before becoming a vapeaholic. :D

Wow... My hardware kit consists of a Provari, and a new Provari. For toppers I have a Mark-T Infinity, and a kayfun Nano. Once I have the money, the kayfun Nano will go to my backup Provari, and an Erlkonigin will go on my daily use Provari.

That's all of it. Then again my backup Provari is over 3 years old and still going strong, so it's all I need.

On a serious note, buy everything you expect to need for the duration, because you never know when our ability to buy toys and juice will suddenly be taken from us. I played online poker for years, and then one day, I could no longer access any of my accounts. It can literally happen over night.

Hey you flashlight guys. Any suggestions on flashlight holsters that might cross over and work out for mods? You guys made me realize there are hardware options I had not considered :) did I ask this already? hmmmmm.

Dam, now I somehow think I NEED/DESERVE a nice flashlight.....

@@@@@You@NEED@a@nice@ flashlight @@@@@You@DESERVE@a@great@flashlight@@@@@@

I just PM'ed someone to ask if he'd be interested in including e-cigs in his holster business. I'll let you know when he answers me. I agree there is a lack of holster options for e-cigs.

Darn, thanks for reminding me the number 1 thing I got from flashlight collecting:
Buy QUALITY and save thousands of dollars of trial and error,

(Before someone brings oil and fire to the wood pile, quality is not exclusive to Provari's; other types of quality are acceptable as well... just don't buy cheap and then complain that was cheap crap! You get what you pay for and if you had enough money to smoke, you have more than enough money for a durable setup if that gets you quit death sticks. That also means that backups (2 is enough, more is just a little safer) are not expensive at all if it keeps you off the stinkers. Your health is worth even more than all that...

Definitely agreed! Doesn't have to be a Provari. That's where I landed because it's about the perfect device for how I vape.

...I have a charger in my car that's a backup. Other than a test, I've never used it, but it will recharge my 18650's from the cig-lighter plug, so I can recharge if needed in case of a power outage. Just a suggestion.

Yep, got that too. My 4 bay also has a 12 volt connection.

...Now, it's time to move into the DIY juice area ...

Did that too. Got bored with it and went back to buying pre-made. Still have supplies for it though, just in case.

Overall, vaping for me is a means to an end, not much of a hobby to me. I am content with my DIY juice skills, so if I need to I will.

Most replies seem to be of a mind that my hardware should suffice, and I agree. Thanks to all.

In all honesty, I was pretty darn happy with two Kanger Protanks and two Ego C-twists. I put the cigarettes down in less than a day and never looked back.

Vaping, however, has turned into a hobby for me. I like to tinker, and rebuilding gives me a hobby I enjoy. It's the same reason I got into DIY. For those reasons, I buy more shinies to play with!

Heh. I doubt I'll ever stop "upgrading".

Batts:
- 8x 18650 VTC4's (green) -- two of these are virtually dead, insane sag, ~a year+ old. Dunno why I still have em around.
- 2x LG 18650's (red) -- these are married in my IPV3
- 2x Efest 18650's (purp) -- married in my OKL-T20 box.
- 2x AW IMR 18350's (red)
- 2x AW IMR 18500's (red)

Mods:
- Smoktech Magneto Brass V1 (my beater mod, is SO worn-and-torn, and has been subjected to many test-patinas)
- EHPro Copper Caravela Clone Logoless (a good daily driver)
- Panzer Clone (rarely used, has a hot button issue I never bothered to fix)
- iTazte MVP2
- P4U IPV3
- OKL-T20 custom-made box mod (hammond-style box), my all-time favorite, everyday vape.
- x2 eGo Twist -- my super-emergency situation, but hasn't been used in over a year.

Atomizers:
- iGo-L
- Chimbus Brass (Nimbus clone)
- Chimbus Black (doesn't get used, the paint began to chip, it's not cerakote, and so I don't use it for obvious safety reasons)
- Caterpillar RDA (doesn't get used much, leaky AFC is hugely annoying).
- Infinite Tobh Clone Copper Logoless (looks awesome on my Caravela)
- 2x Aerotanks (collecting dust)
- Nautilus Mini
- Doge RDA

And to think, I was moments away from ordering a Reo Grand just now. I think I should wait a little bit.

I need to step my battery/charger game up. Probably will be ordering a mod next month, I'm still breaking in the Stingray. Looking into the Plume Veil after the MX but it may be all I need for RDAs for now so there wouldnt be a reason for all that. Some people have some crazy inventory though.

You definitely have enough when:

You are sitting in front of the computer, browsing for your next purchase for hours and stop with the finger on the "add to shopping cart" button because you suddenly have a flash. "Maybe I should just check around the house first". An hour later you find out you already own 3 of the exact mod you were about to purchase, so you vape one, charge the other two and look for something else. Again, before clicking the "buy now" button, you check and have one or twelve of that too. You then move on to tanks and RDA's and can only find one color of one model you don't already own, but you don't want it because it's too girly or too manly, so you resume the juice quest only to remember you need to vape at least one barrel to make a little room in the basement. THEN you know it's time to take a break. For a couple of days.

The very next day, there is a new release, so you buy it immediately. A month later, you find a twin for it and scratch your head "how can that be? I've only bought 4 tanks and 2 barrels of VG in the last 3 weeks"? You then go on a vacation. When you come back, the fog has cleared and you find the letter that came with it: "In appreciation of your business, we offer you these 5 XXX mods, one of each color..."

I've got an absolute ton and love it all... 13 mechs, 4 regulated, 15 rda, 6 rta, a metric f*k ton of little blue screwdrivers... BUT, I've finally arrived to the point where I'm a lot more selective in what I buy. However, "selective" also seems to mean "expensive" as I find myself looking at the high end gear I should have just bought in the first place. I've also already had two collection "purges" where I sold gear to friends and on ebay...

Congrats!

Some people always want more stuff, the newest thing, etc. I'm sure you'll hear from a lot of those in this thread.

For me, I have a Provari, a couple of different backup options, and I'm happy. I haven't bought new vape toys in awhile, and I'm not really tempted. It sounds to me like you're in a similar situation. You have what you need, you have backups, and you're happy.

One thing I would suggest is to think about a power outage. If a big storm knocks out the power in your area, and you don't have electricity for several days, are you in good shape? I have a charger in my car that's a backup. Other than a test, I've never used it, but it will recharge my 18650's from the cig-lighter plug, so I can recharge if needed in case of a power outage. Just a suggestion.

The Nitecore charger have a 12V barrel jack if I remember correctly... I'm not sure what the tolerance is though, i.e.,... would 13.8ish from your car work... but I know my Duracell and Meijer brand (that's right, I buy Meijer brand!) chargers accept straight car voltages from around 11V through 16V.

On topic... just remember that you don't have to keep the older stuff... it's OK to sell it or PIF. You really only need a few mods/batteries... and a few RDA's, RBTA's, Tanks, etc.
