Greetings!

I first heard of vaping many years ago when it wasn't called vaping. Back then it was called the "smokeless cigarette" and the only thing I heard about it was that it tasted like crap. I guess things have improved while I wasn't paying attention.

Then last week I ran into an old friend who quit smoky treats with the help of a kit from vapor4life. So I read up (this forum is a wealth of info!) and ordered some liquid from fsusa (wow those folks are nice) and a box mod from madvapes. The box arrived and I put it together. The fsusa order is in transit.

Now, I haven't had a cigarette in months and I haven't been a heavy smoker in years, but the cravings are still there. So I'm hoping to start vaping before I cave. I ordered 0mg stuff. It would be nice if I can satisfy cravings without nic. My gf, who is also not a smoker, is eager to try some 0mg flavors as well.

I'm a sporadic forum participant at best, but thanks for all the info. The reviews are very helpful and I'll try to contribute back by chiming in on those.

Thanks much.

I think you'd enjoy it, the flavors are incredible all over, haven't tried Freedom Smokes USA YET, they are my next order for sure.....it's healthier than the alternative, plus it's kinda fun. Thought it would aggrivate me, having to fill, clean, etc...but I actually enjoy the upkeep of the equipment, learning about other accessories and filling with different flavors and mixing and matching them....LOL....wish you BOTH success and loads of fun sharing flavors!

Will do, Rosa! I was such a light smoker, though, that it might be hard to generalize from my experience.

It's been years since I was a 1/2 pack a day smoker. And for the last couple years, I allowed myself one or two a day plus more if I'm drinking/socializing with smokers. So while I have a constant craving for a cigarette, it's not an overwhelming urge so much as a nagging desire. Still, a data point is a data point and I'll report back when I have a full kit.

I think it's cool you are starting with a box mod.

I like to tinker with things. I am, after all, an award-winning inventer (ok, ok, I won a ribbon at the science fair once).

As soon as I realized an ecig is just a battery, custom connector and atomizer, I knew I was on the road to building one myself. I've already made a parts list for one with integrated charger and regulated voltage so you always get the voltage you want, regardless of battery size or charge level. It's neat that ecigs are so simple and I love that people are tinkering and making their setups personal to their needs!

I said I'd report back, and I just want to say that my cigarette habit must be mostly behavioral. For the first time in a while I have something I can do that makes me forget about cigarettes. Even at 0mg and with a some sake in me I'm steady and solid. If you offered me a consequence-free cigarette, I wouldn't smoke it.

but wait.. is it hot sake? or cold sake?
