Shire Malt's my go-to juice and for the past few days I've been re-experimenting with a number of different setups on my pipe. Most of the time I drip using an Ego Mega B LR. For two days I primarily used a smok Tech ego mega dual coil, and today I'm using a 306 LR. Here's my impression of the differences:
Ego Mega B LR: good, consistent thick vapor and taste. I do find leaking even though I swear I'm managing the drops amount properly, only changing after the flavor dissipates or gets harsh/"smoky". It's a clean, slightly sweet, airy draw and airy flavor.
Smok Tech Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer EMDCC - (big 4-5ml cartomizer): consistent vapor, but the taste is generally muted or blander, with occasional pops of sudden sweetness. I also get the behavior that others have of - leaking out the bottom even though the filler isn't fully soaked. I think the mutedness and imbalance of flavor is due to the physics of the giant filler and inconsistent soaking. However, for convenience (not having to drip every 6-8 hits), it's a viable tradeoff
Cisco 306 LR - tight draw, consistent vapor, strong taste. Wow - there are flavors coming out of the Shire Malt I simply don't taste with the others. A lovely caramelly, dark, sweetness - really nice, and a nice balanced flavor. I like the juice best on this!
All of this is on an 18350 battery.
I just bought an acrylic horsehead nebula dublin from epipemods, and a slew of accessories... looking forward to the new V2 button and shanklessness for even more portability. I won't have to pop the battery out for traveling, and can lose 2" (due to no shank) on the size of the setup if I want.
