......Ya know how you're supposed to clean off your contacts on the battery and Clearos etc ......well, I forgot that you should do that to your USB charger ....and it cost me ! .......I use Vision Spinners, and smoktek VVs .....and I was having problems ....kept buying new ones until I had ammased about 9 of them .....and none of them seemed to be working very well for the last several weeks .....

( insert : when one of those batteries dies, it's button light doesn't light ....at all )

....then in 2 days 6 count 'em 6 of my batteries went "dead" that is, they wouldn't take a charge and they no longer worked, even though the button lights still worked ....when the first 6 went, I panicked and sent for a new charger, and paid almost $40 for the overnight shipping ! ...and was getting ready to head for the drug store to get a Blu type to last me until the new charger got here .....I didn't trust my last 2 batteries to last the night ....( I found 1 more battery today, cleaning up, hence the number of 9 ) ....and I must have my nicotine .....

.....Just before I started putting on my boots ( I am in Michigan , and we have SNOW here )and I don't know what kicked in, but you could see the light going off over my head .....Check the charger for gunk !!!! so I did ...and yes, it was gunky, very very gunky ....took about a minute and a half to clean off the contact, plugged in one of the "dead" batteries......and whoopee and a great big OH BOY ....it was working like a champ !

....Turns out all the batteries I though were goners, are actually very strong, they are taking a long time to charge, ( unlike before I cleaned the charger, they hardly took any time at all to charge ) ....and from what I can gather, the stronger ones with more life in them batteries take the max time to charge, .....

.....Oh and as this was a gradual problem, I spent the previous week shopping for and buying 2 smoktek vv/vw s and one itaste vv....( and of course I always get the 1100 &1300 ones .....why bother with anything smaller ???)

then went to ebay and bought 2 more 1100 vvs with digital read out ....

so my collection of batteries which will now number 14, should last me ....oh say ....5 or 6 years !

...so people, keep your charger contacts clean !

sell/trade some of them off in the classified forum :)

yeah I had 3 ego batteries that the 510 connection swelled out on them....after racking my brain each time and the lovely people at altsmoke finally concluded it was due to a faulty charger (not from them btw)....altsmoke not only yet again replaced the ego (unfortunately with a smaller version since they no longer had my color in the 1300) sent me one of their own chargers and for giggles I sent them my charger and the dead ego's so they could test the theory and see first hand what was going on.

And when you go to buy another battery, drop $40 on an MVP2 and get 2600 mah, VV/VW, Ohm meter, puff counter and the ability to charge it with any cell phone charger! Plus it's only about the size of two 1300 Vision Spinners...
