Hey,

Have seen some people smoking ego-cs recebtly and they seem to get a lot better vape than my eroll.... but im fed up with the clogging and hassle of eroll atomizers!

Want to get something that is still portable, similar in size to the ego c, but have read bad things about the ego c online. Has anyone got any recommendations on what my best option is?

Thanks

Not sure what size the eroll is (never heard of them)
But if you want a great & portable device that even looks very sleek, i'd recommend a vision spinner.

Couple it with Iclear 16 or pro tank mini 2 for a sleek look. (900mah looks more flush with mini pt2 than 1300mah, but it's not much bigger)
Or perhaps an evod kit, they're quite portable aswell!

Edit: In my profile pic i use an 1300mah vision with mini pt2 (changed the glass to purple to match)
Edit2: Okey looked up eroll, well vision is definetly bigger than that. But still portable enough.
Perhaps an 450mah vision then (they're shorter)

The clogging you are experiencing is your juice. You will get the same thing with any other coil used in any other device. If you want to continue to use that juice clean and dry burn your coils when they get gunky.

It is difficult to dry burn with an eroll, and the air hole on the eroll is also prone to getting clogged, so not only the juice.

Have got through 2 eroll kits now in 1 year, and feel for my next purchase I want something different anyway!

The Spinner just looks a bit too big for me! The ego-d that was mentioned is more what I'm after, but was hoping to go down the cartomizer route rather than the clearomizer, as I've heard cartomizers are a lot less leaky, and that's one of my main gripes with the eroll tank system!

I use an Ego C with an adapter thingie to dry burn my eRoll atties but some people just use a mirror and dry burn by blowing through the end of the eRoll with the light on it.

There is no free lunch with coil gunking juices. They will clog cartomizers just as fast as anything else with the additional downside that cleaning cartos isn't particularly practical.

The little Spinner is pretty small and offers more power than the eRoll. However, it won't do didley to help you out with clogged coils.

I've never experienced clogged air holes with my eRolls so I don't know what's up with that other than it being the juice you are using.

eGo-C can mean the battery which are the same as the eGo-T batts, the Kgos, the Twist and the Spinner, or the eGo-C 'changeable' system. The eRoll atty is the old eGo-C atty.

I used to use them when I first started vaping. IMO they are not bad in performance, but they take a lot of maintenance and are expensive. Here's a good video of how to clean the attys. I used to do that about every five ML of juice, depending on the juice.

I can't help with alternatives as I don't know what's out there these days in that class of PV. I'm sure you'll get lots of great advice. Best of luck with it.

I recommend a 450 mAh eGo mini and an EVOD. It's my everyday carry.

YMMV

I just setup my 650mAh eGo C Twist with an EVOD. It a JoyTech that I picked up locally (not as cheap as online, but I like the shop here in town). So far? Love it. Running it at 3.4 volts and the vapor is NICE. I'll be testing for a few days to see how consistent it is, but so far it's spectacular. Small enough for pocket carry, which is why I bought the smaller battery. Like the EVOD so far too.

Try an vision spinner 450 or 600 and you'll be in love. :)

Also for leaking, i've only once had a little leakage and that was due my juice i was using. Any other juices if thrown at it works like a charm! But as for the cloggin, every clearo / carto is going to clog especially with high vg juice. (or juice with sugar, but you should avoid those) Not to mention they're easy to maintain aswell.

I'm actually not fond of spinners and twists. I double up on EVOD 3.7 V 650s if I need longer run time. If I want more power, I use my VV, eVic, MVP, or VTR.

;)

Again, YMMV

Well yeah ofc any mod will be better :)
And evods are a great aswell. Personally my to-go is 1300mah spinner with mini pt2. It's "little" enough to carry with you.

And i've not gone into the world of mods yet, i've been restocking juice & tanks. Next paycheck maybe....
I'm still quite new. :)

1. battery used has nothing to do with clogging atties.... its the juice and not keeping the atty clean. Thin your juice with distilled water if you can't add PG to thin it.
2. I don't know where you've hear bad things about the Ego C. I've been using 8 of them in rotation for a year and half or more. They're great batteries with lots of protection built in. For the most part, I only use Joye Ego C upgrades. Maybe you've read bad things about the clones?

The air comes through a hole in the battery part of the eroll, With my first kit, somehow this battery hole got clogged, and despite all of my efforts to clear it (followed one users instructions of leaving the tip of it soaked in vodka for a night), the blockage still remained, and vaping through that battery was very slow and fruitless, whilst another battery with all the same atomizer cone and tank produced much better results.

Read a couple of bad things about the ego C, but then again you always focus on the negatives when reading reviews, and notice the positives less, and to be honest just feel prompted to have an excuse to get away from using the same EGO-C atomizers, and go for a different set up, just to expand my knowledge and hopefully re-kindle my love for vaping (started smoking cigarettes again at work and saving e-cigs for home) but hopefully with a completely new gadget with a lot more options and a lot bigger tank than the eroll like the Itaste, I can get back in to being a full time vaper, and not only part time!

Im guessing the bad ego-c reviews he read are about the ego-c tank system (atti + those little plastic tanks on top), not the batteries themeselves.

To the OP, good luck. I agree you will likely have issues with whatever you get if you are using a thick juice. But there's plenty of good options out there. I never had any of those issues, but I only vape high PG clear menthols so I miss out on a lot of problems people have with juiceand atties.

I bottom feed on a VMod now.
