I had my heart set on an eRoll, then I discovered the 510-T is much less expensive and "seems" to have a much larger tank, yet I can't seem to confirm that. The eRoll has the obvious advantage of the PCC, but I really like that the 510-T is just that, a standard 510 ecig. Besides the PCC am I missing something?...it's really slick and all but the 510-T just seems (on paper based on what I can find) to be better. Commence bashing :)...

510t is definitely not better. The eRoll is light years ahead of that old setup. But it all comes down to personal preference. If the 510t is what you want, get it. They should be super cheap by now so if you hate it, buy something else.

As far as what you are missing, the eRoll has a lot of advantages. It's so much smaller, very lightweight. You can dangle it from your lips and hit it totally hands free. The pcc is amazing, and lasts all day for most people. The ego c atomizers that it uses are much better, and I don't get dry hits or leaking. It hits better and feels better in your hands.

But hey, it's about what you think will work for you. If the 510t looks perfect for you, just grab one.

Thanks for the input, my issue is I don't know what I don't know and figure most eroll users in here have or have used a 510 or 510-T. I started this thread to get real feedback from real users. I like the non proprietary idea of the 510 connection, but performance will definitely sway me the other direction. Too many damn choices. The other obvious thing is Joyetech makes both, so I wouldn't imagine they'd put out the eroll if not an improvement right?

I have used the 510. It was my first kit. It's fine, and it got me off the smokes. But there is no comparison to the eRoll. The 510 connection means you can use it with cartos or a couple types of clearos if/when you get tired of the 510t tanks. I thought the tanks sucked but liked dripping with the atomizers. I still like dripping with 510 atomizers actually, but I do it with ego batteries. I think the flavor is a bit better with 510 attys, but not by much. Throat hit, vapor, performance, and size all go to the eRoll. Hands down. Good luck with whichever you choose.

You would have to do a lot of fiddling. All of my drip tips don't even come close to fitting in the eroll. Plus, there is really no point as far as I can see. The tanks work really well. No dry hits, so I don't need to bypass the tank and drip. And dripping has its own issues with auto batteries. If you read through the first really long eRoll thread, some people talked about modifying the tanks to be the actual drip tips, but I don't think anyone ever did it.

Edited to add: Also, even if you could sand down a drip tip enough to fit, you would have to take it off and replace it with a tank everytime you wanted to charge it. Too much trouble.

My favorite feature is not breaking down/assembling the eroll for every use, as it fits in the PCC fully assembled - brilliant. I may have not had the best 510 setup, but I get clouds of vapor with the eroll. And while I know you can get more vapor from a mod or whatever, the eroll already chews through juice. I even lowered my nic content after switching from a 510 setup.

I agree, I love just being able to pop it in the pcc without taking anything apart. But I don't see it as chewing through juice. Before I got the eRoll I was using mostly vivi novas and t3s, and they drink juice ridiculously fast. In comparison, the eRoll seems to make my juice last way longer. I am using half of what I used to in a day, and I still pretty much chain vape.

I haven't tried the e-roll yet, it's next on my 'to buy' list. However, I still love my 510-t. I like the flavor, the cool hit,& the product has always been reasonably reliable. That said, why go backwards? If I wasn't sure I wanted to get 'into' e-cigs, the price of the 510-t, would sell me. If I wanted to commit & really give it a go,or the price difference isn't a major factor... e-roll, would be my choice. Light & hands free. My gear now is e-Go-t(& C upgrade), Kanger Pro-tank, e-Vod, & 510-t. Good luck.

You're no doubt correct. I was comparing my eRoll to a 510 carto system, in which case I go through WAY more juice. But it's a much better hit and more fun.

And no more filling cartos and waiting for the liquid to saturate the filler, or worse yet, using the "centrifuge" method - what a pain in the ...!

Haha, that's totally true. I remember a 15ml bottle would last me so long in the early days with my 510.

I see my eroll as sort of the sleek race car of a cigalike. Great looks and top performance, but lots of fussy maintenance and expense.

If someone could engineer a cigalike with more juice capacity and an atomizer that lasted more than a couple days (and didn't cost 4 or 5 bucks a pop), with the performance of the eroll (or even better), I would have to have one.

I really enjoy an EVOD on a Spinner, but I don't enjoy being constantly asked if its contraband (I live in an urban zone where it seems half the population does nothing but smoke various illegal drugs and watch cartoons all day -- so I guess everyone assumes even a smallish PV is some sort of illicit (ITEM)).

Performance-wise, I think the eroll beats a 510t, although from a hardware perspective they are very similar. Maybe the difference is in my imagination.

Since I bought a couple of Mister E juices, I've been using the same atty for three weeks without cleaning and it still hits like a champ. With the Copper Creek House Blend, it was a gummy mess in just a day or two, and lots of dry hits from poor wicking.

You probably already placed an order for something since this post isn't brand new, but here are my thoughts. I had a 510-T a long time ago (before I discovered VV mods), and I found that the tanks severely muted the flavor of my juices. It also made the vapor too cool, thus lowering throat hit, etc. But lately I've started missing the "holding a cigarette" feeling so I ordered an eRoll. Well, it arrived in the mail just today, and I totally love it. As others have said here, it is miles beyond the 510-T. The atomizers are better, and I don't know if the tanks are thinner, but they do not restrict much (if any) flavor or heat. It's almost like I'm vaping an Ego or something, yet since the battery is lighter and shorter than a 510 I can do it like an analog, or hands-free.

Plus, the PCC? It's awesome. You don't have to disassemble or screw in anything. You just take a few puffs, literally drop the eRoll into the slot, and throw it in your pocket. And the tanks can fit in a Tic Tac or small Altoids container. As a bonus, my roommates thought it was my iPhone for a minute which was hilarious.
