eRoll, what does it have that a 510 or KR808 cigalike does not have?

Don't let the title sound like a negative because it isn't.

The eRoll looks like a cigalike to me.

I will try and make this an apples to apples question.

This if obviously trying to compete in the cigalike form factor category.

It is an automatic. It runs at 3.7v.

I have found some 510 automatic batteries that run at 3.7 but it took some digging, and there are KR808 automatic batteries that run at 3.7v.

What makes the eRoll better than these options.

I guess in comparing it to the 510 cigalike you have to compare it twice, there are 510 tank and 510 cartomizer cigalikes.

I used 510s for the first two years that I vaped. I have had my eRoll for a week now, so this is what I've noticed so far. 1. It is smaller, both in length and girth, than a 510 or 808. This makes it much lighter. 2. There are no threads to gunk up and cross thread. 3. I do not have to take it apart to charge it. Just pop it in the PCC for a few minutes when it starts feeling a little weak. 4. The cart and atty system is miles ahead of the original cart and atty system that went with my 510s (I know there was a 510 T for a while, but I had moved on to cartos by then.). This system works better than my CE2s as well. 5. Because the battery is so small, the options for containers to carry my supplies open up to things small enough to not bug me in my pocket. I can use a little tin that's smaller than a lighter. That may not be a big deal to some people, but I love it.
Overall, it is much less fiddly, and for new vapers I think that's important. For me, it's a breath of fresh air. I don't have to carry tweezers, or napkins around now (especially since I figured out to hold the needle tip bottle to one side so the air can escape while I fill the cart ;)). I loved my 510s, but this one is much less of a production any time I have to do something with it. I'm no longer sitting in the car with a lap full of tiny parts trying to either charge it, or refill it (only at stop lights, or while parked of course).

Daisyd pretty much said it all.

1. Size. The size of the eRoll is smaller and more cig like than the other cigalike batteries. It's much lighter and feels much closer to a cigarette in your hand.

2. The PCC. The PCC is well designed. It is small and thin, and looks cool. It has 1000mah so it lasts quite a while. And you just pop the eRoll in without disassembly.

3. Ego c atomizers. These work really well, and it's nice to be able to use them in such a small device.

These are reasons why the eRoll is better for me. But it may not be better for you. You will have to try different setups to find the one you are most happy with. There are a lot of us here that adore our eRolls, but some people don't care for them.

Thanks for the info.

How well does it store loaded up and ready to go.

Had some cigalike before but got rid of them thinking I didn't need them anymore after I loaded on on Provari's and a boat load of portable cigar sized devices.

I have found that a small automatic device to grab when I want a light hands free device and for short bicycle trips to be missing in my collection.

I picture the eRoll being used 2-3 times a week and that is about it. It would be setting ready to go when I want it. A lot more waiting then using.

I might not ever use the PCC to carry it, I would toss the eRoll in my shirt pocket and head out.

You will be disappointed with the battery life if you opt not to use the PCC. My particular eRoll will leak a bit in my pocket, others don't seem to have this problem. It doesn't matter to me, though, because I always keep my eRoll in the PCC unless I'm not vaping. It doesn't leak in the PCC, and the PCC is probably smaller that what you're envisioning.

Expect to get 25-40 awesome hits per charge cycle. Takes 15-20 minutes to recharge. Brilliant.

I am not worried about battery life, I have other devices. It will only be short activities. 15-30 minute trip on a bicycle, drilling a hole in something, walking dogs. Something where I will not be needing it long is when I would use it.

The PCC might be small but I will be doing no more than using it and dropping it in my pocket. I have cigar sized stuff for when I am going to be gone longer.

I keep 3 batteries charged at all times. I can get an hour out of each battery, unless I am chain vaping. I dont chain vape much anymore though.

I had not thought about leaking that much. The fact that yours leaks might be the only reason I don't order one this weekend.

If I had gone the 510 or KR808 route I would be expecting the charge on a 65mm battery and a single cartomizer to last me more than a week. I will be still using my larger stuff most of the time.

This is just to fill in the gaps where a Provari is not the right tool and my cigar sized PV is overkill.

An hour is more than enough for how I would use it. Have you had any trouble with leaking?

I would not quite call it leaking. Every once in a while, there is a tiny (1/4 the size of a drop) bit of liquid at the bottom of the cone. But, over all, no leaking here.

Three more things I've found:
1) Weight: I have 510s, long and short, and their respective-size PCCS. In comparison to an eroll PCC, they're heavy. Heavier batteries and cartos, plus carrying case if you use one, and the weights really add up.
2) Automatic: I only used manual 510s because I was always afraid of leaks killing the battery. Not a problem with the eroll so its the first automatic I've used and I love them. My brain never computed pushing a button as just having smoked. Maybe because I had to hold the battery differently from a smoke to hit the button?
3) Fast filling: I had to go through the messy, messy, soak.. wait... soak some more cartos and now filling takes less than a second. I can fill 10 tanks, using the same juice, in less time than it took to fill one carto.

I am so happy with my eRoll !
Had mine for about three months.
It is just a great little Vaping stick.

It is not 'main Vaping gear'...
Nor a double stacked, VV/VW, kicked Hybird mod.
But for everyday out and about easy stealth Vaping....
It is the best.

I carry five carts and a extra atty in a tic tac container...
And the PCC with my eRoll, all loaded with DIY green apple at 18mg...
I'm good for all day vapeing.

vMods for main vape....
eRoll for stealth.
