Err... I'm supposed to do what with this carto?

Funny title 'eh?

So part of my first PV arrived. I ordered an eGo-T kit and some juice from Liberty-Flights and it's still on it's way from Cali. I also placed an order from madvapes for some Chocolate Mint juice (which smells fantastic!), two EMDCCs, some needles, a syringe, and a pack of 5 standard 510 cartos.

So my thought process is this....

• Tank - For testing juices out. Easy to clean and easy to fill.
• Carto - For the juices that are good every once in a while. (Thinking sweets and stuff here)
• EMDCC - For my dedicated all day vapes.

So, I've seen videos on how to fill the tanks. That's pretty easy. There are videos out there on how to fill a carto. And lastly, I have no idea what to do with the EMDCC's.

So, my first two questions are:

1. I saw a video from Doctor Vapor for the Carto Cap Fill Method and it seemed to work like a champ. I also saw another video that gave Dr V thanks for that and highly recommended it. Does everyone else feel the same way? Is that a good way to go?
2. How do you even fill an EMDCC?! I didn't see any videos on it. I did by the needles and syringe to fill these things so I hope I'm on the right path.

And then I have one crazy question that I kind a asked before but I just wanna make sure. Well... I'll probably end up buying it anyways but here goes...

So I asked before about using an eGo cone w/ a standard 510 carto. Are we sure that the cone won't completely cover the carto and my lips will be resting on the cone? I mean, the carto can't be more than an 1" long, maybe a 1 1/2" long. Again, I'm probably gonna get the cone for good measure and the std cartos are only for "on occasion" juices, but I'm just curious. Liberty-Flights has the cheapest price it seems on branded eGo cones but they're sold out of black ones. So I'm wondering if I should rush out and pay a lil' more from somewhere else or just wait for LF to get 'em back in stock.

Side note.... I can't wait for my eGo to get here tomorrow!!!!!!!!

the regular cartos are easy to fill with a syringe...slide the needle down between the side wall and the batting down to the bottom and fill until the juice can be seen at the top...easy. the mega's might take a little repositioning around the perimeter...but same idea.

Is EMDCC an eGo Mega Duel Coil Cartomizer?? If it is I believe it works the same as a regular cartomizer. Only be real careful sticking a syringe into it, the coils are centered and not on the bottom, if you bang them around you may damage them. You may want to just drip fill it.

If you want a cone, PM me your addy. I have a black cone you can have. I never use them. I know they look nice but I think you get a much better vape without a cone. I have a pink and red one too! LOL Take your pick!

You can either drip-fill or syringe-fill an EMDCC - you can't condom-fill them as they don't come with condoms and nobody makes condoms that big anyway

Here's how I do it - but everybody does it differently. You need a shot glass or a saucer or something, a syringe and a paper towel.

1. Holding the EMDCC at a 45° angle over the shot glass, gently work the needle between the packing and the wall of the cartomizer, stopping when you hit bottom

2. Slowly inject the juice while slowly withdrawing the needle. When the top of the packing looks slushy stop and stand the cartomizer up in the shot glass for a few minutes to let the juice distribute through the packing. Try not to get any juice in the center hole.

3. Top off the cartomizer off. Generally for topping off I just leave the thing in the shotglass and drip directly from the syringe onto the packing. When it looks slushy, stop.

If it's a new carto you can use the syringe to pick up the excess juice in the shot glass and put it back in the bottle. I wouldn't do this with a used carto, though. Use the paper towel to clean up any spillage and wipe off the battery end of the carto.

Rinse the syringe in hot water - I usually just fill the shot glass with hot water and fill the syringe four or five times from it.

All done!

I just use a condom cap under the threads . I drip into the top at a 45 degree angle a few drops at a time and when I see juice start to drip into the condom I stop and let it stand on the cap for a while to stop dripping . I then lay it down on a paper towel for a while to let even more of the juice in the center tube absorb and then blow out the center tube into the cap or the bottle . If you blow it out right away there will be more juice to blow out . There will be a lot less if you lay it down for a while .

Personally, I just remove the mouthpiece and drip down the sidewalls of the EMDCC like I do any carto. It's probably a little slower, but I don't mind. Works every time for me. I stop when the juice starts having trouble getting absorbed -- then I know it's pretty well saturated.

+1 for Mindfield's method, and EMDDCs are all I use. They drip fill really easy. I, too, do not use the cones. Do not see the point--just something else to mess with that does not make the vape better. Just call me the lazy, take the easiest path, vaper. And what is with all this boiling for 15 minutes, rinse and boil again cleaning. It is ok if you want to boil...but boiling just a couple of minutes will do the same thing. Overkill.....must be a man thing.
