NOT A ENTRY.

what was the name of the alien invasion movie with a bunch of young kids and a video camera that came out a couple years ago?

one of the kids was a chubby wannabe director or some ....

oh man, I know it but being old, I got a bad case of oldtimers. I know at 4 this morning I will wake up with the answer... sheesh

Everyone here has mentioned many things I hold dear in the sci-fi realm, but tops among them in my book is the Firefly series and the film it spawned, Serenity. I was a Buffy fan but missed Firefly completely when it aired. I wound up renting the DVD's from Netflix on a whim, and sent them all back after watching the first episode. Yep, put them all in their little red envelopes and put them in the mailbox on my out the door to go buy the entire set. After one episode I knew there was no way I'd be able to wait for the other discs to arrive. Loved that 'verse and eveyone in it. I have all the comic books, too.

I loved all of this genre... like The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, The Attack of the Puppet People, The Amazing Colossal Man (running around in a big diaper... lol)

People were getting shrunken and enlarged all over the place!!

Thanks for a really fun Contest... I only wish we had more time!!

Too many movies, too little time... :D

Good Luck Everyone!! :thumb: It's been a blast!!!

i always felt like green mile was stephen king's take on Of Mice And Men

How come? I've read both (not very recently tho), cannot find the analogy.

different seasons was the one with the body (stand by me) in it?

That's the one. It's a collection of four novellas, three of which have made hollywood; Hope Springs Eternal = The Shawshank Redemption, Summer of Corruption = Apt Pupil and The fall of Innocence aka The Body = Stand by Me. The last novella, The Breathing Method, of which I cannot remember its original title in the book (they were all seasons, you know) hasn't been taken to film or TV AFAIK. Unjustly, as it's quite gripping.
