So basically I have been using KR808D-1 Mega Battery from Happy Vaper for a while. Love it, love my Fluxomizers & Vortex I use with it.
But I am looking at the eV Torch as a new addition to my vaping kit. Any thoughts or concerns in general I should have?

My main question (just so I could spend a couple extra dollars on juice) is, I have an 808 (cart) -> 510 (battery) adapter. Can this be used to charge my battery?
I already have 2 chargers (both I think are for use on the 808). 1 that just pushes in (no threading) and another from Happy Vaper that does have the threads.

i am not sure i would charge the torch with an adapter on your 808 charger with out contacting the supplier first , that way if something goes wrong your covered and most suppliers will send you a replacement but i know when you charge an ego with a 510 adapter on a 510 charger it takes about 5 hours longer , but to charge a torch (ego clone ) on a 808 with an adapter meant for using different atomizers and a different battery connection may be a problem , or it may be fine , but i would ask the supplier via email , i think different chargers have different outputs and settings for the voltage of battery , so play safe and shoot em an email

I absolutely love my Torch :)

I initially had some issues with leaking and it only seemed to happen once per fill, however the last couple of fills I haven't had any leaks .. yeah!!!

I'm not sure about the batteries, personally I would use the charger that comes with the kit or purchase the appropriate charger to go with it.

Happy shopping :)

Thanks for the input everyone!

Another question, what voltage is the output? The carts I'm using will get burned if its over 4v and I can't seem to locate the information.

Errr.... this is exactly why you shouldn't use adpaters when charging batteries. If you know the output of the charger, and what the battery is rated for, then it's an easy question to answer. Without this knowledge, you should never assume a KR808 charger and adapter will be fine to use.

It looks like doing some digging online that it is the same as an Ego with 3.7 volts being the output.

Does anyone know if it maintains that (regulated)? or just like normal battery starts off a little high (eg 4.2v) then maintains around 3.7v but slowly starts to drop towards the end of the battery life? (ie if its around 25% charge the voltage drops to 3.2v)

Got the battery on Friday. Looks and feels quite nice. Isn't heavy or anything, and the I like the button. Very err... clicky... :)

The battery indicator is a bit bright and in your face, so that's kinda one thing I don't like about it. I wish it were more subtle. Hell even just a tiny light instead of 360 degree, 4 bright LEDs :p

The flashlight is pretty good though. Wide field, so it doesn't penetrate very far... but good for lighting up the path in front of you when drunk at your buddy's cabin ;)

Battery life is pretty good too. 900 maH and it did last about 25% longer than my 650 mah ego bat.

Yeah I just got mine today and charging it up right now. It came with a bit of a charge and I had to try it out right away and I love the feel and weight of it. But you are right about the button it is very clicky, but I kinda like that.

I actually also kinda like the led ring. I haven't tried it at night yet so it might get annoying in a dark room while watching tv.

The only issue I am having (and not sure if its the adapter or because it wasn't fully charged) is I find that the adapter doesn't let me screw my carts down enough (either their is a large space on the 510 side or the 808 side) (especially with my clearomizers it threads half a turn and I feel its going to fall off). From what I can tell the center pin on the adapter is too long, it sits flush on both sides of the adapter instead of slightly inside of it.

Either way this thing is great! Also high praise of EV as well, they threw in an AC adapter for free.

If the center pin in the adapter has a flathead slot try taking a screwdriver and turning it clockwise as some adpters center pins are adjustable.

It did go down a bit, but it seems to be enough to make a difference in the draw. I find I do have to screw my cart onto the adapter first (all the way) before putting onto the battery to get the best performance from my carts.

Now just have to wait for some new inventory to show up at a supplier so I can get some 510 equipment.
