Even with a Provari?

So I was wondering... I really, really liked my prior set up but got bit by the ProVari bug and got one of them.

Had been using an iTaste VV V3 with Aspire BDC ego clearos for several months prior. Since getting the ProVari I've used the iTaste once only because both Provari batts were dead.

I have no way to charge ProVari batts safely at work so I still carry the iTaste around just in case. Haven't really needed it though.

What I was wondering is who else, eben though you now have a ProVari, liked an old set up enough to keep it around as a back up... or who still uses the set up that they had before from time to time?
What was the set up?
What are the reasons you still use it?

I use lots of other devices in rotation with the provari.

Some are more stealth (e.g., ego 450 bat with a carto), others are more pocket friendly (e.g., the VV with a PT2 mini), one is for camping (an MVP2 with just about any topper), others for a bit of subohm'ing (e.g. nemesis, chi you).

For me, that variety is one of the great things about vaping, and it's become a hobby. It's a loooot cheaper than any of my other hobbies as well (I'm an audiophile, for example - that stuff is cray cray for being a money pit).

I love my Provari, but I use the Reo equally as much, and my original Halo Tritons. I do have 4 batteries for the Provari, so it can go anywhere, but when I'm out I like to use something more subtle - hence the Halo gear. And as I have loads of Triton tanks, I often pop a new flavor in there if the Reo has something like Boba's in it and I can't be bothered to clean it all out! Cartotanks are reserved for the Provari and known, special vapes:D

I still use all the stuff I have...
ProVari is hands-down the best, but I still use Egos, VAMO and SVD.
Carto-tanks are my favorites, but I still use ProTank1, ProTank2, MiniProTank, EVODs, and T3's.

Why?
Because I have them. LOL.
Not worth selling, especially as they're probably halfway through their life expectancy (though what's the life expectancy of an ProTank?). So I use them. When the Ego's die, they'll have been put to good use.
Also, it keeps using the ProVari a little bit of a "treat".

I would say I use the Provari (plural) and carto tanks 75% of the time. But I still use my ego twists, vision spinners, and protank 1's, 2's, and minis when I am going out to do errands or going to a dog event. Occasionally will use them at home to try a new juice, if I don't want to drip.

I PIF'ed my Vamo, and several ego twists, and tanks to help people get started with their vaping journey so I don't have as many different things as I did at one time.

When I really want to go 'stealth' I use a 400 and 650 ego and an evod tank.

The Provari are sometimes hard to leave home--but I don't want to lose one :).

So it isn't just me. I didn't want to admit it in my starting thread but I do sometimes miss the stealthiness that the iTaste gave me. Also ever so often I find I miss the feel, hold and manual drag of a real cig (don't hate). For those times I have an e-roll. I also feel its kinda like paying homage to the mini that got me started vaping when I use it.

My backup to my Mini Provari is a standard Provari. I use my MVP at work because I have to (I won't get into that, but it is a great backup).

The only time I voluntarily choose not to use a Provari is when I stealth vape at the cinema when I use a little Smoktech Gripper mechancial mod because its so tiny it can fit into my palm.

If I angle my ProVari -- in 650 mode, mind you -- so that the end cap is down near the heel of my palm, my thumb on the button, with my index & middle fingers extending together, you cannot see anything from the front but the tip of tank (for proper mouth placement)..

Yes, the ProVari in 650 mode can be a stealth vape for me!

Of course, I've also got pretty big hands (can palm a basketball, heh), so this might not apply to everybody.. :D

The ProVari is fairly small, anyway.. even those with smaller hands could probably easily do this in 350 and/or 490 modes...

Prior to ProVari, I had Ego Twists, but they both died along time ago. I have bought lots of other stuff since the first ProVari because the hobby of it all kicked in. I use it all, but the ProVaris still get the most use. I carry a K100 in my purse all the time as backup. It was chosen because it is telescopic and will take whatever batteries I have on me at the time.
