Talking myself into a ProVari and Hippo, wonders what the best pyrex tank of this would be.

What factors would you consider to be "very best pyrex tank"?

All cartotanks function pretty much the same. End caps and a pyrex glass tube. Some have a juice fill hole (either a benefit or a detriment, depending upon your point of view). Some are of high quality despite being very affordable. One in particular has a repututation for being particularly durable against physical abuse.

Some manufacturers to consider would be IBTanked, Phiniac, J-Tanks, Valley View Vapes, and Vaporfexion for pyrex tanks.

I am seriously considering getting a ProVari and I think I would want to Hippo so I can use a large carto tank. I wonder what the very best pyrex carto tank would be to go with this set up.

I am still reading on the ProVari but I think it is what I want.

For reference, below on the right is a 19mm xl IBTanked. It hold 3.5ml. Ignore the pic at the very bottom of my post - it's a Vivi Nova and I posted the wrong thing.

They are going to be releasing a 22mm tank later next month. That would line up with the battery dimension. And they make a 25mm that is wider than it and holds 6ml (I think).

In the price ranges I have seen I don't want to consider the price but try and get what I would be happiest with. If I used this with a hippo I think the diameter of the existing Pyrex tanks will not matter so much. Durability is one of the factors I would be looking for. I understand some tanks are more prone to flooding from what I have read? If someone made a tank of Alon that would be great but I don't think the masses would go for it's price point. I was going to have 1000 Alon ovals about 2"x1" cut for a project until I found out they would be $45.00 each in that quanitity.

I would say what I would want is durability, not prone to flooding, and how good it looks. The reason for the Hippo is so I could use a large tank and not ruin the lines.

There seems to be flooding issues with the newer locking tanks like the AGR and Artemis tanks. Since they are in their first versions I might hold off on purchasing one of them. I've personally never seen the need for locking tanks, as all of my tanks have never been "slidey" in my year of using cartotanks pretty much exclusively.

Flooding for the most part has more to do with the cartomizer than the tank, and more often than not with user error.

I happen to prefer the IBTanked pyrex tanks ($25). High quality and affordable, the 19mm is the same diameter as the Provari's top cone. Sometime in the next month they will be coming out with a 22mm width that will be the same diameter as the Provari body and Hippo attachment.

Phiniac is generally considered to be the most durable pyrex tank. It will be significantly more expensive (start at $38), but you can customize it with colored glass, sand-blasted designs, textured glass, or 3D glass-blown designs should you desire to. It will be a little wider in diameter to a Provari. They come with delrin endcaps, and sometimes have stainless steel caps for additional money.

Vaporfexion makes a Pro-V tank specifically to look good on a Provari. May have limited availability, and will be in the upper ranges of price. ($58 and $80).

I have other tanks that can be viewed in my photogallery: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/members/baditude-albums-pictures-my-setup.html
