Ever have a Jessy do this?

Okay, as you guys know, I have a Jessy X, and I like it a lot.

Hits harder, and gives more, better tasting vapor than ANY Ego-style PV I've ran into, bar none. It's the only thing I vape on. :) I got my starter kit 4 months ago, and have been using the hell out of it. And loving it.

I bought a spare battery from FSUSA a couple of months ago, cause I know nothing lasts forever, and I DON'T want to be jessy-less when my kit starts to die. (Also got several atomizers from them- the atties on this thing last pretty well, but...no atty is forever.)

When I bought the battery, I tried it out to make sure it worked, which it did. I then charged it, and put it in my gear box as a backup until one of the others dies.

Hasn't happened yet, but as I was cleaning out my gear box today, I thought I'd try it out, see how well it had held the charge.

Dead. Or so I thought. Wouldn't vape, no light on the button, nothing. So I put it on the charger, and it showed green (charged) and didn't appear to be charging. Tried it again, nothing. With or without load, the button won't light, and there is no current coming from this apparently fully charged battery.

Advice? I don't think I've done anything to it- hadn't touched it since trying it out. BUt it appears to be gonzo. Any thoughts on anything that might revive it?

Best,
Ande

PS- I'm not blaming the folks at FSUSA. They've always been straight with me, and it worked when I got it (July). I just figured that a lot of Jessy users hang here, and somebody might have an answer. I'm hoping it's revivable, thought I imagine it isn't.

When i first got my Jessy, it came with 2 batts. One was the same as you describe. Showed as fully charged. When i pushed the button, the lights came on, but nothing happened. Whether it was on blue or red. But it still showed as switching between them. I contacted FSUSA and they kindly replaced it for me. So maybe yours was the same? Did you test it after you charged it? It doesn't happen very often, but every now and then you just get a dud battery.

Although I just realised, you said your buttons don't light, so it might be different. Dunno.

I had to take the two in my kit ( M series ) and do a bit of work on the center post (had a third so I wasn't jessyless) In order to get them to work I had to gently pull the post up a bit as they were not making good contact, thought it was the atty's at first but after trying 8 different atty's on them and only getting them working on the one batt I figured it was an issue with the batts. I did not pick them up much and was real gentle with them and got them both to work. That was my issue with the Jessy batts, yours sounds like it could be a mosfet failure (part of the button circuit) in which case I don't think it's repairable.

could be the contact that hits when the attie is screwed in all the way. it sits on a spring and if compressed too far it does not come up high enough to contact the attie. we will be happy to replace it no problem but try using a paperclip hooked on the end to gently raise the contact in the battery. you can also try different atties on it to see if it sparks to life :)

Have given the center pin a good wiggle, and raised it somewhat- still no dice. (Didn't really expect much, cause as I understand it, even if the center pin were out of contact the button itself would light.) I'm betting it's electronic, and that it's gone.

I'd love to take you up on your kind offer to replace it, but don't think it'll work. I was in California when I ordered it, but am home in Korea now- thinking that the shipping makes it pretty impractical.

Thanks though- keep vaping guys!
