I have gotten into the vapor scene to eventually quit smoking. I've tried just about every method, but doesn't seem to work.
I'm hoping this is gonna be the kicker for me. Work my way from high mg to low to nothing.

I noticed a lot of people use e-cigs as a healthier way of smoking, which is great! But do any of you ever have any intention of quitting? or is this just a healthier way of smoking for you?

Just throwing it out there and wondering why people truly use e-cigs.

But whoever invented this product originally was a genius! :D

I quit smoking 7 weeks ago today...do I intend to quit vaping? probably not...at least there are no plans to quit at this point.

I may cut down to zero nic (it would be nice to be rid of that addiction) but I have always enjoyed the 'act of smoking'...I don't care if there becomes some stigma to vaping like there is for smoking, as I have never been one to do something or stop doing something because it was popular or fell out of popularity.

I enjoy vaping.

I went from 16-18mg all the way down to 4-6mg, i vape all the time so im still getting just enough nic to keep me sane, i don't intend on quitting, I'm happy with how things are.

Same here - well 6-12. I also believe there is a benefit to nicotine in some cases. Anti-Parkinson's, anti-Alzheimer's, anti-inflammatory for arthritis and in general good for focus and thought.

I went from 40 analogs a day to 5 because I began vaping.... Its my intention to leave them behind completely and soon. I enjoy vaping so probably will continue for some time. Im currently on 32 mg juice, but will go to 24 when it runs out. I hope to get to 18 and stay there for however long I need to. This is the first time in my smoking career that I can quit. Hail Vaping!

Yep, i believe that too, nicotine works for my depression aswell, i don't have many bad days if i got my vaping gear :D

I relate the vaping to smoking... If I had never smoked, I probably would never have tried vaping. I think the majority have a fondness for the act of smoking, but really do not like the health effects of it all, along with the smell, icky teeth, etc etc.

So, for me, rather than deal with the painful "quitting smoking" rig-a-ma-roll which I have tried a dozen times, luckily I discovered e-smoking. for me, this is currently a fascination that I'm happy to say I really like.

Life would be a lot easier if I did not have the addiction to nicotine and sucking on a straw like device, inhaling/exhaling a smoke-like vapor every hour of the day. This would be my goal... to not smoke or vape or put anything other than good old fashioned "air" into my lungs.

...but since I do crave the nic and the "hand-to-mouth" thing, I'll be happy to keep on vaping as long as I can. It took me about 10 years to really hate smoking, and another 10-12 after that to discover e-smoking. So with my luck, maybe in the year 2030 I'll be fed up with e-smoking and by then there will be something new to fixate upon. Wonder what that could be??? (I hope it's cheap.....or I'm rich by then)

Cheers,
Dude

I never intended to quit smoking.
But I found a better replacement for what smoking provided.

But yeah, I have ABSOLUTELY no intention of quitting vaping.
Not now, and not ever.

I like a bit of nicotine in my diet, and think it is not a bad thing at all.
And I could never live without the actual act of smoking and what it provides me.

Well, I could live, but I could live without chocolate too.
And I'm not doing that either.
:)

Pretty much exactly what everyone else is saying. I already quit smoking 54+ days ago and really hadn't planned on that but it happened instantly and I'm very thankful that I did.

I have no plans or intentions to quit vaping as I am really really enjoying this. Stocking up on a few goodies, making/experimenting with my own e-juices, doing some mods, etc. - it's just like a hobby to me.

And I haven't felt this healthy in many years!

To quit vaping (or become social 0 nic vaper) is my goal but I put no pressure on me as I really love vaping and quitting cigarettes is already a milestone.

I lowered my nic juice to 10mg and as a result I vape more. I will continue to lower it one mg at a time: I suppose there is a limit to the amount of vaping I can do.

Eventually I would like to only vape when I drink. I don't think I am going to try to do that anytime soon though. I plan on continuing to vape all the time for at least the next year, maybe that will be my New Years resolution, or maybe I'll wait until New Years 2013 if the world doesn't end on December 21, 2012.:D

The way I see it, I smoked for 15 years between a pack and 2+ packs a day. I want to retrain my brain and body to never want a cig again. I've quit smoking for 6+ months a couple of times, but always really missed it. With my PV I don't miss anything. So I'm willing to do anything to keep myself of cigs, even if it means vaping the rest of my life.

I can't make the claim that my PV has enabled me to totally give up the analogs. At least not yet.

I smoked 20-30 analogs a day for over 35 years and I sure enjoyed each and every single one I lit up. I guess the winter weather and the indoor smoking ban that was instituted in Pa. last year is what really pushed me to try something. I hate the cold and I don't like standing outside in the rain and snow just to satisfy my addiction.

Since the arrival of my 1st PV 3 weeks ago I have consumed an average of only 3 analogs per day. That is a great victory (at least for me). I can make it from the time I get out of bed in the morning all through the day until I get out of work after 3:00 without lighting up and it doesn't bother me at all.

So for me, I really don't care one way or another if I ever quit vaping. All I do want to do is to totally quit the analogs. Once I am sure that I have accomplished that task I will try to reduce the nicotine level in my PV one step at a time to see how my body and mind reacts.

I'm quiting real cigs too, Just as soon as my E-Cigs get here, Bought a starter kit from Smart Fixx, Just hope it works as well as some people claim it does. I'm ready to quit real cigs, tired of all the negative comments from people :-x, can't smoke when you go out to a bar, resturant, and so on:mad:. And the people complaining 8-o, even when I'm outside, besides it sucks having to go outside of my own home to smoke, it does get cold here in california at night in the winter.

So, I'm going to give it a try, Better for me health wise anyway.

Wish me Luck!!:)

I didn't really expect my PV to be as effective as it was, but I'm very happy that I haven't had an analog since mid-October. I feel much healthier and I sure do smell better.

I've cut my nic level from 36mg to 24mg. I'm nearly ready to go down to 18mg soon.

I don't do well on a "no-nicotine-diet." I have trouble focusing. I may never be able to function well without nicotine. If that's the case, I will just keep on vaping on...

Yay! My Red Dragon E9 just arrived. Tastes odd, but better than ash.

I am trying vaping as a method for quitting all together. Tried the patch... they say it's time release but it felt like a mega-dose for the first few hours (queezee, etc) to me. Gum tastes like rotting flesh (still not sure how I know what that tastes like 8-o). I see vaping as a micro-dose method that tastes better than and feels better than ALL alternatives.

Even after 3 weeks you are still using a few analogs IS a great victory no matter how you look at it. More than likely you didn't expect these PV's to be as effective as they really are just like I did and once you get vaping down really good, you'll quit smoking for good.

I may have quit instantly my first day after 36+ years of smoking, but now almost 2 full months into it and a small cache of PV goodies on hand, I think I've finally found my niche, in that I can sit here at my computer with my 510 hooked up to my Passthru, put 2 drops of my RY4 on my atty and vape like a nuclear power plant - I am in vaping heaven. Personally, I like vapor and I actually lose sight of my monitor with a good vape.

You should be proud of what you've accomplished already!
