If you are like me and fairly new to all of this, it can be rather overwhelming. There are a ton of videos out there, but the vast majority of them are reviews of items that are given to the reviewers so needless t say they all "hit hard". There are some great build ones but rarely do they explain why you should buy/build something do to it's scientific principles. My first few dives into rebuilding where only guided by Riptripper saying this build is "sick as ....", now don't get me wrong I like Rips videos and he really makes me laugh. However I really wanted to know why I should use 24/28/30/32 gauge wire and what it does when I do. Thankfully after lots of time searching I found what I was looking for and needed in explaining what's what's and why. Now I am not promoting for the sake of promoting but rather sharing what has been a great help to my understanding of vaping. Search YouTube for Pegasus1337, he has several class structure videos that sheds a better light on builds/mods/batteries/vaping in general. I hope this helps some that are as lost as I was when I first started.

ECF was my best resource when I got started and some of the blogs where real beneficial.

Omh's law, safety, rebuilding Protanks to RDA/RBA's it all came from here. The advanced search by title gave me everything I needed once I found something I wanted to learn about and most times I was building while reading.

Damn fine place this ECF! Well except for all the new gear I had to buy because I wanted to know first hand what everything was talking about.

You really don't need a class. While it may be a little overwhelming when you watch all the videos, vaping isn't really all that difficult. Once you buy a piece and use it, you'll figure it out pretty quick. The only thing that makes it difficult is deciding which one to get. The good news is that most devices are pretty good, even the cheaper priced ones. The most difficult thing is probably building your own coils. But you don't have to. There are plenty of tanks out there that just have off the shelf replacement coils to buy.

Oh, and lastly. Everything you need to know is right here on ECF. So you already found all the classes you need right here with plenty of people to help you out! It's like taking a test and having that smart Asian dude right behind you telling you all the answers. :)

Taking classes certainly helped me. My husband doesn't smoke or vape and at the time I didn't know anyone who did. I am a grandmother who had smoked for 40+ years. After those guys (SteamCigs) got through with me I could build a coil with the best. Had a wonderful time learning and hanging out with the staff and fellow vapers. We did a lot of show & tell when we got vape mail. We had several DIYers so they even had a class on how to mix flavors. Very informative and lot's of fun. I will always be grateful to those guys.

I keep trying to get together with my still smoking friends and arrange a "VaperWare" Party. I would love to be able to show and demonstrate different batteries and toppers and answer questions but I can't get nobody on board.

Pay for my air fare and I'm there!

Seriously though, a VaperWare Party is a great idea.

Youtube and the fine folks from here were my teachers...took me a while but I eventually got it. I remember though in the beginning how I said I was never going to bother learning how to build coils or I wouldn't dare pay that much money for a Provari...guess what? I am now happily puffing away on a Kayfun Lite on my Provari! LOL
