Everlasting battery?????

Hi guys! I got my first ever electronic cigarette yesterday. I got a eGo K (900 mah) with clearomisers. I haven't smoked a cigarette since my eGo K arrived yesterday! Its my first time off cigarettes in 26 years!

My eGo K came already charged, so I was able to start vaping straight away. (I also got a spare battery)

My eGo K has a counter, I've had 360 vaps. The lcd display also shows the battery power. After 26 hours the battery still has 3 of ifs 4 bars lit up. It is still vaping perfectly.

I'm not complaining, but I thought my battery would last a maximum of 9 hours, but its still going strong 26 hours later!


Am I doing something wrong? Should I charge my eGo K even thought its still has plenty of power left?

I'm so confused........

Never lasting battery....

Glad that you like your eGo K. Seems like you may think you vap a lot but you may be infact not vaping not too haevy.

But batteries..... These are li-ion batteries. You can and should keep it charged. They do good keeping it topped up.

As far as the battery meter staying up, they are really not that accurate. It will go down really fast later on. I would not rely on it to tell me if its got a days worth or something like that. Battery is near empty and it may still show 3 bars!

Batteries last approx 1 hour per 100 mah of continous vaping - which you probably aren't doing. Less if you're using a low resistance e-liquid delivery system and less as the battery ages.

You get the most from your battery if you recharge before it needs it.

ok, thanks for the advice.

I've put it onto the charger now. The instructions says for first time charging to charge for 8 hours, then vap for 20mins, then charge for another hour.

Does that sound right?

Also I have one other question. This about e-liquid. My clearomisers holds 1.6mls. Should I keep my clearomisers topped up all the time? or is it ok to let the e-liquid level go down? I've heard about burning wicks etc. So does keeping the clearomisers topped up avoid this?

That instruction is not worth the paper it's printed on. Just charge it and use it and keep it charged. Basically treat it like you would your cellphone.

So does keeping the clearomisers topped up avoid this?

It does. But juat keeping mindful of keeping the wick wet - refill when you are having trouble keeping the wick wet.

The worst thing you can do is leave it charging for days on end.
Charging early is fine.
Running it completely dead on first few charges is not a bad idea either.

I haven't figured out the battery life thing at all. 100mah per hour seems to be the go to for measuring battery life but I have batteries that last a couple days and some that wont get me through a work shift. Sounds like you got one of the good ones.
